Because Apple waits until they can do it right the first time. Simple answer.

If Apple made a foldable all the fan boys will buy it and say it’s innovation. Apple is scared to take a chance.

Apple would need to source enough folding pannels (upto 7million), also why amoled didn’t become iPhone till relatively recently

If Samsung had a reliable os like iOS and longer support like iphone, I’d have never bought an Apple.

They will just buy the foldable screens from Samsung

  7. you wont last 30 seconds playing this game

Apple: ffs we are still trying to find a way to remove the notch

Battery? Fold battery life is superb. Big screen size is NOT a gimick for someone with bad eyesight. Not kidding.

Apples might just be getting to the hole punch stage. We got a minute yet I’ll wager

How many foldable phones are actually sold? Maybe Apple realizes that there’s really very little market for it at this time.

it means apple has stopped innovating

    August 13, 2022 at 8:13 pm

Personally I think they won’t make one until screens that completely make the crease disappear when it’s folded out apple is way to ocd to have a crease on a phone

  14. Matthewliu1

    August 13, 2022 at 8:16 pm

I don’t think I’d ever want a foldable phone because of the plastic screen

For those asking, so basically you have to wait 5 years b4 you can copy certain key features. So typically, apple is usually 5 years late to the party (all parties). but if they’re early it’s because they bought a company

everyone will say well Samsung did that like four or five years ago blah blah blah but it’s been 3 years and I’ve only seen maybe one or two Galaxy folds ever in public that someone personally owned. Apple isn’t concerned with doing anything first, they’re concerned with doing it right

  18. Michael Whitfield

    August 13, 2022 at 9:47 pm

Apple won’t and can’t, right now, we all know apple is very late with innovation, and if they do it’ll be so far behind, apple loves to stay in there lane, and move very sliwy

I love my iPad Mini 6 and my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Imagine having both in one form factor.

Cover a topic why cell phones don’t come with solar panels but those old calculators did.

  21. Elbert Lee

    August 13, 2022 at 10:23 pm

Samsung makes foldable phones at a much smaller scale compared to just one iPhoke color variant. Apple needs to ramp to meet deman within a few months plus food instead their software ecosystem before they just tick the “fold” box. Of course, there is a customer who wants latest and greatest and lives ignorant of why Apple makes these decisions. The consumer can value what he wants even if the fold is premature or doesn’t have as much utility for mosr

  22. Bret Self

    August 13, 2022 at 11:05 pm

Not sure about others’ customers, but the VAST majority of mine still buy iPhones. The Sammys I do sell? S22 and S22 ultra. 3 zFlip since last Christmas and one zFold. Meanwhile, thousands of iPhones.

Don’t worry they’re waiting to invent it in the next one to three years It will be a revolutionary breakthrough All the tech YouTubers will cover it

  24. 1mezion

    August 14, 2022 at 1:18 am

They will be willing to pay whatever Apple sets its price at I wouldn’t be surprised if it came out at $2000, $2500, $3000

He missed one thing. Ming Chu Kuo changed his opinion on foldable iPhone release day. First he said 2003 then afterwards he said 2024.
