  9. @thomasfin7225

    May 9, 2025 at 4:29 pm

Why created a 6th finger and not just create a prothetic for the already existing thumb that some people may need to replace? That would be like creating a 3rd ear where there are already medical procedures for the first 2 in the first place

    • @gaesnek

      May 9, 2025 at 5:18 pm

Well this could very easly be adapted for someone without a thumb. Just put it on the other side of the hand and flip some things in the code

    May 9, 2025 at 5:58 pm

The human body is at its peak so adding or removing might not be the brightest thing to do, even if it was just extensions, that’s my opinion.

    • @Kyle-nm1kh

      May 9, 2025 at 11:04 pm

It’s good for people who have limited abilities due to disabilities. Also it might be beneficial as a tool for certain tasks. Like underwater swimming.

    • @crimsoncapricorn188

      It is definitely not

    • @hope_964

      May 10, 2025 at 12:20 am

@Kyle-nm1kh  as a left for a right hand? no, if it were for disables it wouldn’t have been a “Second” thumb also for swimming you don’t have a solid ground to control that thumb and the structure of it would fall due to currents

I wonder if it’ll ever be possible to add new controls to the brain instead of repurposing things like your toes

    • @Kyle-nm1kh

      May 9, 2025 at 11:02 pm

Well it’s possible, but if you do it through a wired connection (nerve endings and neurons) then it might be limited to the human Anatomy already in place. It’s more likely there would be a wireless connection (brain waves) to activate the controls, but I’m not sure exactly how much control you’d have.
