I sold my series 6 because i didn’t feel like it is doing things better than other wearables, i would say only advantage of apple watch is the voice assistant and the look the watch gives, oh and yeah the battery life is the worse it dies in a day.so yeah not going to apple watch anytime soon.

Until Apple gives us a way to restore our Apple Watches by ourselves, I can’t see myself ever installing WatchOS betas

So the apple watch mirroring on your phone…
Your watch is an extension of your phone so then your putting your extension back on your phone so why not just…. Use the phone?

    • Lexy Savvides

      July 12, 2022 at 8:16 pm

Accessibility is a big one. If it’s hard to use the Apple Watch screen or buttons you can use the bigger iPhone screen (or voiceover) and control without touching. Super cool

  15. I'm Out

    July 12, 2022 at 7:15 pm

If I could specify anything about these new phones I would say keep the screen size smaller rather than larger (I’ve had a Samsung J7 Sky Pro for years that is perfect for me – YouTube and all.) Another thing I would say is instead of a full aftermarket type case, it would be nice if there were grips built into the basic case of the phone that allowed you to EASILY hold the sides without touching the screen.

    July 12, 2022 at 7:26 pm

The notification update is nice to have. Now if we could have “locate phone” from the watch to constantly ping and light up the phone till you acknowledge it on the phone.

    July 12, 2022 at 10:57 pm

I wear a Fitbit Sense, because, as I understand it, the Apple Watch face remains on all the time. The Sense has a face that can remain on all the time, or comes on only when one flicks the wrist. I use that setting and have to charge the watch only once a week.

I always wonder, why do apple watch have sleep tracking but it’s battery could not last for a whole day? Why not apple have Apple BAND and just have minimal features and could last for weeks like Huawei band and Mi band?

Is the Apple Watch mirroring available on all compatible V9/V16 devices? I don’t see this feature on my iPhone 12 Pro and Apple Watch 5.

What a great review! Question about the sleep tracking. Did you notice if the watch still only tracks sleeping between bedtime and waketime? Outside of those times, I sometimes fall asleep during the day, and I’ve had to use third-party watch apps to track that.

    • Lexy Savvides

      July 13, 2022 at 6:12 pm

I really like the heart rate zones!

Please apple: make the cross country skiing mode in the workout app more like running! And, in general make the activities in the workout app more customizable!

  46. Christopher Matthews

    July 13, 2022 at 11:35 pm

Great review but is no one gonna mention her 94 bpm heart rate? Isn’t that high?

    • Lexy Savvides

      July 14, 2022 at 12:45 am

I was standing and talking! Not resting HR. Thank you for your concern though!!

love your updates lexy. always informative and super pleasant. as a yank, enjoy your accent! for features; very much like the expanded fitness tracking. use that convenient feature on my current apple watch. though would appreciate some more enhancements with music. perhaps dedicated music watch face. – Mark from NorCal

iPhone is a iPod with SIM.
Apple Watch is a iPod Nano Touch with bands.
so iPod is still alive but in other forms .

    July 14, 2022 at 12:06 pm

Which watch face is that? Is it the Simple, it must be the updated one for Watch OS 9, because right now it doesn’t have any ones with numbers.

  55. Sami Alrustom

    July 14, 2022 at 12:41 pm

To get The OS 9 on your watch you need iOS 16 on your phone?

  56. Majid Fazal

    July 14, 2022 at 12:42 pm

Love the review, please please please make a separate video on all of the Running settings and options 🙂

  57. JustJeff

    July 14, 2022 at 2:14 pm

I got very excited when I heard screen mirroring. But I was hoping the watch could show whatever is on your phone screen. Not the other way around.

  58. DabaddestDj_84

    July 14, 2022 at 4:44 pm

Hopefully someone can pass this on to someone at Apple but every since the first Apple Watch all I’ve wanted is for the messages and call history to be synced between the phone and watch…it makes no sense that if I delete a message on the phone I still have to delete it on the watch and vice versa and the same with calls…wondering if Apple will ever change that ???

  59. roemix

    July 14, 2022 at 6:15 pm

The Watch OS 9 keynotr has a guy running in same running shoes as mine, Nike Pegasus 38 Ekiden edition, that make me want to have an Apple Watch! But i still think Apple Watch is a nice to have than a good to have product, can anyone here convince me? I feel like a lot things you can do on it are something you essential can do without any electronic but people getting lazy think and do things and need some passive motivation and reminder to tell them they actually able to achieve a lot more. I can run without need of a activity ring and music to motivate me, I just hope to improve my running speed which my phone can already do that, and I dont do much other sports actively at all to justify that function to price ratio, I do like the band design options but it is really expensive to get more than just one, my pocket is tight now too.

  61. Alejandro

    July 14, 2022 at 9:05 pm

Not sure why someone would use screen mirroring on their Apple Watch ???? I don’t think there’s any case where that new feature would fit

Nothing is as smooth as Apples ecosystem. All of the products work so smooth. I record and shoot on my 13 pro and air drop it to my iPad Pro for editing in seconds

Do you still need to have a sleep schedule set to get a the sleep metrics?
