Do Happy I switched to Garmin. Apple is 2 to 3 years behind.
And your watch won’t last more then 3 days with Apple Watch.

      May 30, 2023 at 10:51 am

Idk how; I have the Garmin Fenix 6 Solar and my Apple Watch does a lot more in terms of apps and accessibility. Wouldn’t mind more battery but, seeing that my Apple Watch can literally be used as a cellphone replacement and my Garmin can’t, I think it does a lot more.

      May 30, 2023 at 8:18 pm

@OW that’s why I wear both. Apple Ultra and garmin instinct 2x.

I may look weird wearing both but neither do everything I want so ????????‍♂️

    • OW

      May 30, 2023 at 10:00 pm

@Michael Rankins I wear both too but I guess not at the same time; if I’m out hiking or on a deployment then I’ll wear my Garmin because it’s made for that kind of usage. If I’m traveling or just every day use and I have access to a charger then it’s the Apple Watch because I can do a lot more.

Each has its trade off for sure depending on situation.

A day batterylife watch is not a watch. Its a computer in your wrist.

    May 30, 2023 at 11:00 am

I want better battery life WITHOUT any compromise on performance and app access.

      May 30, 2023 at 2:01 pm

I have a series 8 41mm and get a day and through the night with it. It charges fast. I’m happy but I agree it can always be better. The ultra is amazing but man it’s wayyyy too big for my tiny wrist.

    • OW

      May 30, 2023 at 3:23 pm

@Crow I’m stuck with the 44mm series 6; it’s usable for the day and I’m not one to sleep with a watch on so it’s back on the charger. I guess when I go hiking or something it would be nice to have a longer battery life. I also have a Galaxy Watch 5 that has a few days worth of battery life but it can’t do nearly as many things as my apple watch and it just isn’t as refined. I’m thinking of trading in my Galaxy Watch for the Apple Watch Ultra, I like the rugged look of it.

    • Crow

      May 30, 2023 at 3:30 pm

@OW ultra would be the way to go ????

    May 30, 2023 at 11:17 am

I have an apple watch ultra and I don’t use the sleep thing on it. What I would love to see is an alarm that reminds you when its battery needs to me charged. I always forget to charge it. Nice to have a warning that my watch is about to die.

    I want custom watch faces.

    May 30, 2023 at 11:51 am

How about some useful apps. Like … virtually anything. There isn’t a single app in the watch App Store that does a thing I’m excited about.

The fundamental apps it comes with are pretty much the only things I use. And all of that functionality is basically available on any smart watch.

I don’t need 200 meditation apps and 500 exercise apps.

    • OW

      May 30, 2023 at 3:26 pm

I mean what more do you want? Most banking apps, Uber is on there, Starbucks, I can unlock my house and Jeep with my Apple Watch, I can order a pizza from dominos if I wanted to. Tbh most people don’t use apps from what I saw, so devs are going away from creating Apple Watch apps. Could be worse, my Galaxy Watch 5 has like no apps for it.

      May 30, 2023 at 7:19 pm

@OW my response was deleted by YouTube twice. There was no profanity and no insensitive language. I’m not going to type it out again.

Honestly I don’t want some random score. Some things are just to complicated to put into a single score, even though some competitors want to make you think so.

What would be good would be specific suggestions on how to improve the given metrics.

There’s no point having an Apple Watch, there’s a clock on every iPhone, lol. Waste of money.

    • Bob Coats

      May 30, 2023 at 4:07 pm

The watch does things the iPhone doesn’t, or doesn’t do well. But yeah, if you just want a watch to tell time, don’t bother

Time stamp 5:11, Apple did that on purpose ????. Since it takes too many swipes, tell Siri what you want.
I use Siri because I would forget what I was going to do by the time I unlock the phone ????
