I must admit that I am left wondering how this several billion dollar expense is helping to feed the 25,000 kids dying of starvation every day down here on planet earth. Weird sense of priorities for a ‘humane’ species. I hope no-one is watching this from ‘out there’….it would be a bit embarrassing.

    • cr1spy28

      May 31, 2020 at 11:48 pm

implying a private company has any more obligation to help feed those kids than you do, if you spend any money on anything not essential for yourself you cant complain about a private company doing the same

It doesn’t look like it’s moving through space at magnificent speeds! Shouldn’t it be if it is orbiting earth and earth travels through space at a crazy speed??

    • J Battler

      May 31, 2020 at 8:21 pm

That doesn’t even warrant a reply….but here it is anyway (see first six words)

speed is relative, go on a train and nothing on the train looks like its moving fast

They just want diversity and it sounds like y’all just want the opposite ,I personally don’t care either way

    • John Bridges

      June 1, 2020 at 12:21 am

Yeah, we should have padded the crew with people of various colors because, you know, a person’s color and gender are definitely the most important factors when selecting individuals for an extremely complicated, technically challenging spaceflight. Because we are idiots. Because we are RACISTS.

    • Muyiwa Olu

      June 1, 2020 at 12:53 am

      @John Bridges y’all should chill

    • Chauncey Gardner

      June 2, 2020 at 11:57 pm

They sent these two guys because they were on the last shuttle mission. The last time the US sent folks to the ISS. kind of symbolic. I was surprised there wasn’t a woman, considering this is all about the moon mission and Artemis, Apollos sister. Also, what if they sent a woman and it exploded. That was a big shock when McAuliffe died. I think they were playing it safe. There is a lot of diversity in the Astronaut corps. They’ll have there turn.

yo so like where are the stars???

    • Chauncey Gardner

      June 2, 2020 at 11:36 pm

Never been to space but on earth you have to wait for the sun to go down to see stars, in space you have 3 times the problem, earth, moon and the sun are really bright, so stars may be hard to see.

    • Bill Smith

      June 3, 2020 at 12:30 am

It’s also a photography issue. In order to properly expose a camera to see the earth and space craft, the stars become invisible to the camera’s eye.

Or, The whole thing is just a fake, in a Hollywood studio. LOL! I’m just joking of course. I would think that if it was fake, they would have included the stars in the background since most everyone doesn’t understand why they are not visible.

Imagine if they had brought the corona virus into ISS

    • Chauncey Gardner

      June 2, 2020 at 11:26 pm

Yes, the virus is invisible. Thats why there is so much emphasis on the crew being quarantined before they fly.

    • Paul Brown

      June 3, 2020 at 1:28 am

      Yeah quarantine is a thing.

Well, isn’t it obvious? Everything is just plastic models in a Hollywood studio.

The greatest accomplishment of mankind was keeping this huge secret amongst all of the thousands of people involved.
