Weirdly, I don’t find out V explained electricity counterintuitive at all.
In fact, as a STEM person with degrees with very good scores, electricity and the way it is explained in most textbooks actually caused me confusion.
That video made me realise how electricity actually works, and that the textbooks aren’t wrong per se, but the way they interpret the data and simplify it with moving electrons etc is just not reality but a simplification.

I can’t be agree with you on one/two direction measures of light speed. If you want to know what is exact speed of light in one direction you can do it with help of Dopler effect by frequency shift. And it will be same for both situations for red and blue shift 😉

Hey woudn’t it be like possible to check speed of light in 1 direction by trying to accelerate a particle in that direction and checking if it’s getting closer to the both ways speed of light, or a variant of it? In your speed of light video you said that it could be 1/2c in 1 direction and 2c in other direction so the speed limit of matter should be maxxed out accordingly? If that is the case then getting to 1/2c in the “slow direction” scenario should require infinitley more energy than in “fast direction”.

Veritasium has some of the most honest science videos out there. He is saying the best of what he believes is true and, most importantly, he says what he says he is saying. He doesn’t make it sound like he is giving an authoritative expert opinion when he is not an authoritative expert on something. He does his honest best to convey the amount of scientific confidence that matches current scientific consensus, and if his personal belief/analysis is counter to that he makes it clear that it is conveyed as his opinion. Its not about being always right. Its not about saying phrases that are all technically true, but trying to convey something else when you put them all together. It not about the fools errand of extracting all of your own bias. Its about the constant effort to be as honest as possible, which he does better than anyone else I’ve seen, on YouTube or anywhere.

His Youtube channel is really great if you haven’t seen it you should check it out. He has done so many science questions just do a search with something that you are wondering about and add Veritasium at the end of it and you should see a couple of videos around the subject that would be of interest to you.
