    To be fair, anyone not involved when these violations happened should not be footing the bill. Also, this whistle blower should be scrutinized for not coming forward earlier

      That’s not how things work. The company is responsible for it’s actions through history. This is why companies that polluted in the 60 and 70s are paying dues today even if the were acquired.
