The most surprising part is a Google product manager let you demonstrate their product on an iPhone 😂

Doing all these google experiences with a iphone just seems so backwards, just throw the iphone out the window if your not gonna use siri🤷🏾‍♂️

See, this is why Pixels tank every year, as doing the demo on Apple’s insanely popular iPhone 17 Pro Max just made even more Android users switch. 🤭

When I drive, Gemini doesn’t understand me. It seems to be too loud.

Love google, their iOS apps sold me a Chromebook too. The entire machine is cheaper than iPads keyboard lol, and actually quite nice.. And with 12 months Gemini Plus. Good times to jump onboard, tho I will stay on iOS.

Like with Google Home Assistant they seem to deprecate their original before the new is released. That is, some of my commands and functions start to fail in that gap until the new is released. Example; I can no longer tell Google Maps in Google Auto to navigate somewhere it tells me it cannot understand 😂
Can we not “rebuild the building while there’s occupants”?

Arbrar, would you please speak more slowly when giving the info spiel, more conversationally like when you were talking to the engineer. Thanks.

People already talk to their phones while driving in Atlanta. The results are a ongoing driving disaster. We shouldn’t do some things just because we can.

Aloha Bay Area! I tried Gemini in the kitchen, had it assist with creating different recipes. Even broke it down for high altitude. Wow love it! Mahalo from Kauai Island❤

I wish you could customize the access to pacific Google apps not all with this Gemini feature

  16. @Thomas-fy9yc

    December 15, 2025 at 3:18 pm

I played with it today, its ok. The voice could be much smoother and the lack of CarPlay support means I’ll never use it over Apple Maps at this point. It also struggled to launch maps while in Gemini, it would say there’s a route created but would never let me access it.

  17. @Zetler

    December 15, 2025 at 3:53 pm

why isn’t this in Carplay where it belongs?

  18. @jonathanfgh1

    December 15, 2025 at 3:57 pm

No wonder Apple gave up trying to do this with SIRI …..

  19. @nickthaskater

    December 15, 2025 at 4:24 pm

And yet you still can’t get the driving mode features without inputting a specific destination… I don’t always want point to point navigation, but I do want to see speed, report road issues etc.

Google also killed on-device Android Auto. So… no thought of safety for those driving a pre-2021 car, I guess?

Also, Google Home devices *still* get triggered by these random people saying the keyword despite voice match being on.

These “features” are useless next to the long-standing glaring gaps in basic functionality that Google continues to ignore (or make worse).

  20. @kbrownsr2020

    December 15, 2025 at 4:28 pm

How’s it that I’m not able to use this on my 17 pro max even though I have the latest iOS update? What am I doing wrong?

    • @powwow6886

      December 16, 2025 at 3:05 pm

Side Gemini is in reality not capable of those things yet, hopefully in about another year.

    December 15, 2025 at 4:48 pm

You seemed to be using an iPhone 18 pro so ‘Hey Google’ so unless your phone is unlocked and you use Siri to open Google by voice then that is not going to work, and I’m sure it really impressed / annoyed the Google guy sitting beside you 😄🤣. Naturally I could be wrong Just an observation

Olá eu sou motorista de app em São Paulo no Brasil 🇧🇷 . Eu só não gosto do Google mapas que ele não mostra radares de velocidade ou de semáforos . Eu uso o Waze para navegar acha melhor. 👍🏻

    December 15, 2025 at 6:04 pm

My expience with google Gemini if you are intending to go one place and have google maps directions set. Expect it to change your destintation when all you were doing was asking a question about another place.

  24. @rollickingrolypoly

    December 15, 2025 at 6:52 pm

I’m finding Gemini worse than grok and Claude, generating wildly different answers in response to the same questions phrased slightly differently. It also generates hallucinations that I have not experienced in the other two, complete nonsense to simple questions. If you just looking for a chai latte who cares

I hope that with grocery lists, it will support other apps besides google keeps (I use AnyList). Samsung S25 series, literally advertised AI with cross-app features like this, so I hope I could use Gemini to interface with other apps that beyond the google-owned apps.

  34. @LukeVesty

    December 16, 2025 at 7:04 am

Absolutely incredible tech. Gemini is such a good fit for the car. Just running rings around Siri at this point.

  36. @donavanboykin9489

Doing this with an iPhone is egregious. Too bad Apple doesn’t have their own AI they can showcase on their phone 🤔

This video is complete Bull $hit, , I just tried to see if Gemini, could do these things on an iPhone , and it’s still it’s incapable self, again more media hype , not official, you might want Gemini to have these features , but in reality , it doesn’t.
