I know plenty of bad things about people that they don’t know and it would crush them for most of the time it involves kids. I never like knowing about these problems but someway I end up knowing, is it still wrong not telling them about it? Why should I and not someone more immediately close to them? Then what does that say about them if it’s truly betrayal and disgust. I always wonder about that…

Thank you so, so much for your insight on ghosting. I feel like the world’s gone crazy when people think that making yourself the least bit vulnerable is some kind of huge expense to make for the sake of having a basic sense of courtesy and consideration for other’s feelings. Some even have the gall to conflate “self-care” with “my feelings are somehow more important and valid than everyone else’s feelings”, it’s just so frustrating and sad. I could definitely use a therapist like you lol

I occasionally buy lunch for people sometimes, friends. And I like when they occasionally buy me lunch. I think it’s nice but I do expect it to be relatively equal. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with occasionally buying someone lunch just to do something nice for them. Enjoy a meal together. If I were dating, I’d do the same thing. But one person always paying would not be fair, and it would set up an expectation that one will always pay for the other.

I “ghost” trolls. Ghosting them because you feel they may react violently is a bad idea, you should be taking many proactive measures in your life if you think someone is a threat.

I really liked how she did not explain anxious and avoidant attachment styles as inferior or worse than secured like what most say. They just seemed like differences in people and hoping that your partner would be able to provide that needed security/space for you. I love that

Society: Cut out ANYONE who doesn’t IMMEDIATELY make you feel happy or affirm everything about you. Don’t talk to them ever again. They aren’t worth it.
