Moto missed the opportunity to make their Ultra go wide so it’d be more like a flip version of the pending iPhone Ultra foldable.

Alcantra fabric will be nasty in 3-4 months, would avoid for sure. Look up Microsoft Surface Alcantra palmrest.

Motorola is just selling nostalgia right now. That price without a proper charging brick is just horrendous.

So that means in the year that this phone is out, it depreciated nearly 50%, imagine next year, this same phone is only worth like $350. That’s really poor value.

It also only receives two more years of OS updates.

    • @ashurafreedan

      June 6, 2026 at 11:52 am

@BruceLeeRoy26 its a phone, not an investment. depreciation literally doesnt matter. who buys a depreciating asset thinking about depreciation? its not a stock or gold bar

    • @BruceLeeRoy26

      June 6, 2026 at 12:26 pm

@ashurafreedan”depreciation literally doesn’t matter” this is why corporations love ignorant consumers. Why would you want a phone that you’re paying $1200+ to be worth half of that in a few months or a year? When you go to sell it or trade it in, it’s almost worthless, making you pay full price. No one’s saying that phones is an appreciating asset but not all devices depreciate at the same rate.

Let me guess you run to the stores to buy things like special edition water bottles when they’re released like the rest of the sheep.

2:53 you can clearly see the hallo around the palmtree, a sign of overprocessing from the app… one will always get better results learning about photography and use the camera in manual mode so can adjust it yourself and get the results you expect

I wish companies would invest more into the flips. I think it’s more practical for most people on a day to day difference. Too may compromises, and I don’t even mean the screen.

This☝️right here. Why buy the 2026 when you can get the 2025 for 50% off?!? I went with last year’s model, and got virtually the same phone for half price. Cnet should know this.

Imma guess some people would. Maybe not at first but think about over time all the grime that will build up in the fabric that you can’t clean
