Crying helps me feel as though I’ve cleansed my self, in a way. I feel like I can see clearer, and I feel lighter. It is healing.

There was a lot of tears for when Trump lost (and all the recounts and fraud lawsuits) and will be more tears from you clowns in January so you should brace yourself for more of those Trump supporting tears as you tear down your Trump poster and flags. It’s okay, crying should make you feel better in theory, but probably not.

    • James Poynor

      December 8, 2020 at 1:12 am

@Rhythm See. Told you crying doesn’t make you smarter. I don’t worry about clown games like politics. I don’t need anything from government…. that wants to pay for your useless degree…. because you were too stupid to read and understand a contract… but still allowed to vote.

God gave both women and men, and many animal species, tear ducts in His infinite wisdom, grace and grand design.

I liken a good, hard cry to an emotional fire hydrant.

It lets the stress steam off on our pillows, in tissues or toilet paper, the cuffs of our sleeves or fingertips, the back of our hands, knees, in the car, or in our own private personal safe space or place.

We wake up the next day/morning, feeling emotionally drained and spent.

    Then, we rise again,
from our own tears and life’s ashes, to move onward, upwards and forward, facing the new day… the next of many to come, and face, one step at a time, as we all take another and yet another step toward our own personal destinies.

Hope this helps someone out there. Truly.

    To anyone?

I am a man who cries. When I’m mad, and I can’t fight or flight (as a young man I fought a lot. As an older adult I learned fighting is 99 % of the time not an option), I will cry. However, I also cry when I’m happy. At naturally beautiful things. A large crowd cheering in unison after the national anthem as fighter jets roar in the skies above celebrating the pride of country and saluting or nation’s troops, powerful music, when my son squeezes me as he rests his head on my shoulder. An interesting phenomenon about tears: under a microscope the salt crystals of sad and happy tears will form differently. I am a man who proudly cries today, whereas when I was younger I would be embarrassed. It’s a natural component to being emotionally sound. Don’t hold back your tears, it’s a sign of strength not weakness.

When I was married to a rage aholic, I wish it had occurred to me at the time that he was sad. Strong displays of anger tends to result in me feeling angry, which doesn’t make it any easier to consider that the other person might be sad or overwhelmed.

I’m a male in my mid 20s and a lot of times I say “this feels like an appropriate time to cry” and I feel tears generating in my ducts but it just doesn’t come out. In the last 6years I’ve cried about 3 times 1. Watching the movie inside out 2. Watching the movie All the Bright Places and 3. On a small-medium dosage of psilocybin ; every time I cried it felt great and like a big release of tension throughout my body but I do not know how to get there organically

You’re right! It really does change your mood and lift your spirits back up again. Not right away but next day you’ll feel your old self again. It gets all those crappy thoughts out and dumped. Thank you for sharing this I was almost kind of desperated because my mom always told me not to cry over everything. And after that, I always hold my tears even untill this time right before I watch this. Honestly, I just get more and more desperate to hide those feelings. But today I won’t run away and my tears is a normal thing. And mood-swinging is also a normal thing.

In a part of the United States with more than 17,000 years of human history, cultural preservation advocate Tracie Revis is working to turn the Ocmulgee Mounds into Georgia’s first national park and preserve. This park would be co-managed by the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, bringing the tribal voice back to an area they were forcibly removed from 200 years ago. Revis explores the complex feelings of caring for this land and shows how it’s fostering healing in return.
