There’s a few different Tinwoo smartwatches that are really nice and have wireless charging and 5atm waterproof. And currently the are under $50

LOL, I have SO many smartwatches and I’m not a tech reviewer! My most recent purchase was an Honor Band 5 (it’s $35 dollars on Amazon). I used it side by side with my Apple Watch 3 and what I found was that the watch itself was feature-rich (SPO2, HR, sleep tracking, and it can be used in the pool), and results mirrored the Apple Watch side by side, but the app was absolutely anaemic. The SPO2 was also pretty hit and miss, but the watch was spot on in the pool! For small wrists, it’s the perfect form factor. The screen though? Welcome to 2010…I had visions of my Samsung Gear Fit. All in all, if you don’t need the apps and you just want to cheaply track your workouts it’s fantastic for $35.
The only knock on your review is that the sleep tracking on the Apple Watch is horrendous (it’s why I’ve searched for something outside the Apple Watch), so I don’t think it’s fair to knock any of these watches against the Apple Watch. The sleep tracking on the Honor Band 5 blows the Apple Watch out of the water. Not that any of that matters now that I’m tracking sleep with the Withings Sleep mat.

@M A#np The sleep tracking in the iPhone is very limited. It’s not very granular at all, you can’t tell much more than you were asleep or awake. Sleep tracking with the Honor is much closer to the Fitbit. It will tell you how long you slept, the different phases of sleep,, and the overall quality of that sleep.

I’ll always pay Apple tax for Apple Watch or have no smart watch at all. I like privacy and answering calls on my watch, not just declining them. If I any of these watches, I’m pretty sure I’d have no friends at all, well, within a day…

Hard to find them under $100 but there are a few on Amazon from smaller brands which I haven’t tested. Right now for Black Friday deals there’s a Fossil watch (round face) for $99 but it’s normally over $200 which is why I didn’t include it in this roundp.

I really really just want a Series 6 but I’m still stuck on Android, iPhone 12 was kind of disappointing to merit the switch, I was really hoping on 120Hz this year…

I’ve had that sleep tracking issue with the Fitbit Versa 2 as well. Where it’s telling me I was asleep when I was relaxing on the sofa watching tv.

Best for a under 100$ is definitely (as someone who use it for a month now) Xiaomi (Huami) Amazfit GTR (1st gen). For about 100$ (or for me as for 75$ USD because I got super deal 2 weeks prior to BF/CM). it is looking sharp, AMOLED is perfect and only complaint is that is running Xiaomi’s Custom OS, otherwise great deal.
