It’s pretty fast how Tesla is catching up. Though the Honda Asimo robot had more functionaliy, though it’s development discontinued in I believe 2016.

Boston Dynamics will become a follower. They have no chance to compete with Tesla. Tesla bot is already ahead in terms of energy efficiency and it doesn’t require a lot of sensors (much simpler hardware design – cheaper and faster to produce and there will be less points of failures). It also have some other benefits in terms using different traning models (pure software ) , with different traning profiles for different needs (specialities).

In the 21st century, a weapon will be invented like no other. This weapon will be powerful, versatile and indestructible. It can’t be reasoned with. It can’t be bargained with. It will feel no pity. No remorse. No pain. No fear. It will have only one purpose: to return to the present and prevent the future. This weapon will be called…The Terminator or Optimus General-Purpose Humanoid 🙂

How is this going to help cars stop crashing because autopilot is so bad because Elon refuses to use LiDAR and radar and their vehicles aren’t good at recognizing solid objects?
