Tesla is recalling every Cybertruck shipped due to an issue with the accelerator pedals that causes them to get stuck in the footwell and putting the driver at risk. Tesla is now retooling or replacing all accelerator pedals on Cybertrucks, in what has been the second recall so far for the vehicle. The announcement came at the end of a pretty tumultuous week for Tesla, with layoffs, executive exits. And this week, we’ll see what their Q1 earnings look like. TechCrunch’s Alex Wilhelm breaks down what the recall means for the EV manufacturer and if more bad news could be coming down the pike.

Why don’t you do a stupid info item like this on the multitude of Ford & GM recalls?

A guy I know told me last month, “did you hear about Tesla’s recall”. He drives a Mercedes and doesn’t like Tesla. I looked into it, Tesla is at the bottom of recalls in 2023 with 16. Mercedes had 26 recalls in 2023. And I do know that the oil companies make 2 Billion per day selling gas, the longer they can fend off EVs the better for them. That’s why very few people know that the Tesla Y was the number 1 selling car in 2023, outselling Toyota. All Tesla’s are the safest car/SUV. The cheapest to run, about 80% less. The most happy, loyal repeat customer base “would buy Tesla again” in surveys compared to all other automakers. The most shorted stock in recent history. And on and on.

font size too small, recall. I find it so funny. The sales number down big time, that’s more worthiness to talk about it.
