If you can hold out, don’t buy new computers from Apple, and then come around Black Friday. They’ll go on sale. I do believe their sales will go down on them. Just my opinion.

Walmart changing to accepting Apple Pay. Makes you think maybe their sales are down, trying to get more people to shop there.

Galaxy S7 used to work around the Walmart system by recreating the magnetic strip signal through the phone. If the swipe machine picked up the signal it would go through but then they started switching to chip authentication and it stopped working.

Why about Samsung pay
@RoamingAdrian
August 31, 2026 at 9:24 am
* Apple charging an extra €200 feels unreasonable; RAM limits are a corporate design choice, not a user failure.
* Voting with your wallet for two years by keeping 2025 hardware running sends a strong market signal.
* Consumers deserve better value, and holding off on upgrades forces companies to rethink pricing.

I hate to burst your balloon, but In Canada, Walmart has accepted “Tap” (Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit cards and debit cards) for many years now
