    August 4, 2022 at 9:57 pm

Be cooler if the rings were still lit via battery when removed from the stand and recharged while still attached!

Ah so it’s a ring tree????

I mean it dope but I kinda wish the rings would stay lit when I wake them off. Like maybe just a small battery could power one for a few hours.

Is it April Fool’s again? Because this is the most stupid floor lamp I’ve ever seen.

It would be an extremely cool lamp if it had just one more feature: batteries in the rings, so you could take them with you if you didn’t want to waste more electricity on turning on more lights (I’m from America, electric utility bill goes up if you use more electricity, there’s even a meter outside our homes that measures the usage by the watt.)

It’s definitely cool, but I am a little disappointed that the individual lights don’t have batteries in them. That would be super useful if you were in your room, and wanted a snack but didn’t want to turn on more lights, you could just detach a ring and take it to kitchen to make your snack, and then when you come back just hang it back on. Batteries in the light rings would have made this tech you only see in sci-fi movies.

Google I/O made it official: AI-generated answers are now front and center in search, and most brands have almost no visibility into how AI is describing them to their customers. For anyone who has spent years building a strategy around 10 blue links, the rules just changed in a pretty significant way.

On this episode of TechCrunch’s Equity podcast, Rebecca Bellan caught up with Matt Thompson, VP of partnerships at Scrunch, a startup positioning itself at the center of the AI search shift, to talk about what Google’s changes mean and marketers and founders should actually do about it.
