I was expecting this video to be longer.
If the patterns are that easy to recognize, then I imagine the people who are interested in those patterns use software to automatically analyze satellite images for those patterns and have that software notify the interested parties when it find them.

One of the things I watched unfold over time was at the Groom Lake facility in Nevada. Over the span of a couple of years I watched a pile of dirt grow next to a black spot on the western side of the main facility. It would appear that there is an underground extension at that site now.

If you haven’t ever done this, you really should. Download Google Earth and explore! You can “Show Historic Imagery” which allows you to scroll back and forth through time.
– if you want to take a look at a HUGE steel mill in China that processes 45% of the planet’s Rare Earth Elements go to the city of Baotou and zoom in on the dark park to the city’s west. There’s several articles and a few videos on the place as well. “Baogang Steel Mill”

Wrong. Remote sensing includes all non-haptic methods. Thermal imaging is remote sensing. Laser interferometry is remote sensing. Sound recording is remote sensing. Not only satellites and planes. I have a PhD in this field (actually in developing analytical algorithms to process data acquired by remote sensing, but I also perform such measurements by myself) so “let’s say” that you can trust me on that one.

Pro-tip: An actual satellite imagery specialist, especially someone working for an alphabet agency, would never, ever, ever, explain a single thing about their job. Ever.
Not only are there multiple NDAs and security clearances involved, of which breaking either are treason and punishable by death (More important for the latter), there is literally nothing for them to gain by openly spreading any information whatsoever.
