Meta is playing the i crement game they are literally way ahead of whats released quality wise.
This is just the same thing but with less quality xameras and screen innit.
The only differnece is it dont run ios.
This thing can be made to do what ever you want it to do does so much more.
Now lets just say this had better cameras in and high end screens, then it cost 1000 it would be the vision pro without ios.
For aonethig thats not focused on what apple is calling the media and marketing rubbish, anyone can see its a smoke acreen and a lot of marketing to make this work.
Quest 3 is amazing for the price but the next one the wuality will be better and the price will be kept down low.
What is the apple pro really doing more other than the qulaity upgrade.
As apple was focusing on this one headset for relaese they are not inproving on anything to make money they are just dropping the high end stuff out for high prices.
The test are just making the money out of the upgrades.
Meta os going to be bettwr because it has set itself in stone in the market.
Apple marlet is the same but they are fooling you all.
Spacial computing has been around for years and as you can do spacial conputing or what ever rubbish applewant to call it , this 500 quid headset is doing it.
I feel for the gullable in this world beliveing apples marketing.
This is great review what meta quest 3 can do.
And there is a million more things it will do aswell.

The biggest problem for the Apple Vision Pro is that the Quest 3 is good enough

If meta updates pc oculus app so the dash can be passthrough now that it can be passed thru on pc and airlink, it would essentially be a windows avp

    February 6, 2024 at 3:33 pm

It’s just sad. These things have been around for years and there’s a reason why it didn’t catch on. The ease of use is the main factor and Apple certainly hasn’t done it.

  9. @hollyc5417

    February 6, 2024 at 3:54 pm

I have a quest, the comparison is dumb. the quest software is nowhere near as good as apple’s. you can’t even easily load android apps on the quest. you can sort of make it work if you’re very interested in the tech but the average person is not going to do any of this.

Will the quest three make me as nauseous as the original quest did, or have they gotten better?

  10. @wagnerfsj

The same battle with iPhones vs other devices.  is about the overall premium experience, not a spec battle. Q3 is for those who are okay with an okay experience, AVR takes it to the next level. Any car can drive, but not all will drive the same way. Food for thought 💭

    • @alexkurtsaev6105

      February 6, 2024 at 4:24 pm

If your definition of premium is having 100 apps with uncomfortable controls of course

    • @wagnerfsj

      February 6, 2024 at 8:25 pm

@@alexkurtsaev6105 have you ever even tried it? I’d think you have not, since that device has the very same compromises all other consumer VR headsets in the market (such as weight, battery, etc). The difference here, or the premium aspect if you want to call it that way, is that it has a much better built quality, incomparable eye/hand tracking and stunning 4K displays. Not to mention how well it fits into ’s ecosystem, those facts alone are enough for some to justify the purchase.

The Q3 has a higher field of view, higher fps/hz display options, an internal battery, better distributed weight , tones more VR/MR games, can be used with fitness apps/ u can walk/run around while using it, costs 7x less and haptic Feedback if u want with gaming etc. The AVP has better passthrough, higher resolution, eye tracking, more power (but probably all used up coz of the resolution) and an Oled display

    • @StreetPreacherr

      February 6, 2024 at 5:37 pm

Yeah, I was disappointed when Meta basically abandoned using OLED on their ‘mainstream’ headsets after the CV1… I actually still use my CV1 for any PC based VR games. I just still seem to prefer the benefits inherent with OLED more than the improved resolution of the Quest/Rift-S LCD displays!

Downloads, pairing codes, clunky setups is what drove BlackBerry/Fitbit into hole after when it tried to compete with iPhone/Apple Watch. Meta will eventually join them if it tries to compete on the same level with Vision Pro. They should just stay in their lane of just being a social media company.

    • @FrameGame1

      February 6, 2024 at 5:24 pm

Bad take, no competition for apple, they cant implement this feature if only snobs who buy for $3500 can afford to buy it. meta has mass marketed it in a way that apple cant, at a price which is far more accessible for consumers while even then I would argue is still niche despite the selling numbers of all quests combined, theres a reason why meta is investing in this sector as this technology as they will be the first market entrants, huge advantage for everyone and even me who is really interested in this type of hardware and want to see it improve.

Next time I’m sure meta will produce two version: Quest 4 for about $500, and Quest 4 Pro for about $999. The Quest 4 Pro will have the same resolution of the the Apple vison Pro. I will wait for the Quest 4 Pro (likely would ben for Christmas).
