WAY too expensive for what it is. Curious to see how it’ll fair reliability-wise, given it’s co-developed with GM…

300 miles should be the starting point when it comes to range. instead we are going to 2024 and still 300 miles are offered by a handful of companies.

We recently took a family trip across several states, I was in my ridgeline and we had another person in their tesla, it turned a 12 hour drive into a 16 hour drive. Range is not the most important aspect, charge time is more important. Bottom line is, fully electric is not a good idea yet, hybrid is great, gas is good, full electric is a hassle.

@Andy Fetzer Let’s not even get into what heat and cold do to batteries.

@Kenneth M right, so you’ve got the looming cost of battery replacement on top of normal depreciation and years of inconvenience just to save a few bucks at the pump, pretty sure there is no savings.

Dead on arrival. The range is poor. Tesla and BYD are the only companies offering good range.

My greatest happiness is the gains I get consistently from my venture despite the business cycle. The U.S NFP is a key factor and knowing how to use it is very rewarding.

  17. Christopher Mara

Still not enough of a range. 400 miles should be the range. Still, charging more for EV’s confuses me. Simpler design than a ICE vehicle. These vehicles are cheaper to manufacture.

Looks good but need to wait till 2025 model so it can be used on Tesla Super Charger network without adapter. It also needs a larger screen. It’s pretty lame for an EV to have such a small screen that’s been in traditional cars for many years.

Apple filed a trade secrets lawsuit against OpenAI last Friday, and it’s not messing around. The complaint alleges a pattern of misconduct reaching all the way up to OpenAI’s chief hardware officer and claims more than 400 former Apple employees now work at the company. OpenAI’s response so far has been carefully hedged, and the timing couldn’t be worse with the company reportedly eyeing an IPO as early as later this year.

On this episode of TechCrunch’s Equity podcast, hosts Kirsten Korosec, Anthony Ha, and Sean O’Kane dig into what the lawsuit could mean for OpenAI’s own hardware ambitions and IPO timeline, plus a bigger theme running through the week’s news: how much should anyone trust AI companies with their data?
