First time I had to use 2x playback speed!! To use the 8mins constructively, my feedback is –
Nice tone poem but won’t survive contact with the real world. Good advice for moments of reflection for sure.
But if we were all monks or nuns, everyone would starve. In this crowded world, everyone must be productive in their own fashion.
And we don’t all want to wear saffron robes chanting mindfully all day. That is a luxury few can afford for long.

I think by speeding it up you lost the most important quality of this talk.
I don’t believe that they are advocating that everyone does this non stop.
I don’t see how this method is in conflict with being productive. I actually experience more productivity. I no longer use my time fore things that do not truly touch me. I used to use most of my free time for meaningless (for me personally) , passive, entertainment. It was easy and felt good. But when i tried to be mindfull while enjoying this entertainment i realized: I don’t want.
I can still do my job. But what i also do now is to engage in culture and politics. I try to use my intellectual wealth not only for work but for society as a whole. And society doesn’t pay. This type of productivity is what we need. We don’t need more object productivty. We need more productivity that involves being a part of democracy, being a part of culture.
“That is a luxury few can afford for long.”
Everyone can experience it in every possible state. There is the buddhist paradox: Once you realize the truth that no experience is better than the other, it will seem that this whole journey of finding that truth was useless – It was always there, so close that you didn’t see it.

Sister asked us to walk mindfully, an act of mindfulness which takes no extra time as we would have been walking anyway :). Asking these three questions while we walk also does not take extra time, but can provide us with powerful insight. Sister True Dedication believes this insight is necessary to save the world. 🙏

Unfortunately, it’s simply a ‘hit or miss’, 50% chance that what you’ve noted will apply.
The people who ‘did all the right things’ and STILL failed aren’t here to refute what you’re saying because… they didn’t make it. They’re either dead, or literally on the dark precipice, awaiting it.
I’m nearly there, but I happen to have enough marbles left in my brain to bother posting about it. Not that anyone will listen. 🙄 Invisibility is the gift and curse of ‘those who did all the right things and still failed’.
It’s all mostly LUCK. 90% or more of it, at least. And my 10% has *not* been enough because the universe just… didn’t agree. 😊

Sister mentioned our connection to our ancestors, and the notion of interbeing. Similarly we are connected to the Buddha and him to us. So, as we change so does he. The Buddha of today knows how to use a cell phone (mindfully of course☺️) and he also recognizes the value of allowing women to be monks. 🙏

It’s safe to say that expert Ben is indeed God sent after a series of payouts. I have no concerns about investing more, he flatly turned down my gift token and asked me to give it to charity saying, “God has honored me with everything I need, be His servant and help the less fortunate”.

Who am I? I am a mind and body, neither of which are to be trusted. Rarely do the two even agree on much of anything.
Where am I? I am where ever my accepted arbitrator(s) between mind and body demand that I be in order to satisfy their desires.
What do I want? The body demands to be comforted. The mind demands to be “sound”.
Funny….neither offer anything that even remotely provides for the very demands that they place on us.

Her past trauma is more jarring, especially in developed, Zen/ Tibetan/ Thai thera trained, university training rejecting women twice your experiential phase based. Step back and develop humility.
