Why would people spend so much money on earbuds? I just don’t get it.

      Which part don’t you get?

      April 26, 2022 at 1:27 am

Also these aren’t earbuds. They are tws iems or true wireless in ear monitors

    • Star Boy

      April 26, 2022 at 2:02 am

I used to buy cheap earbuds that sounded absolutely s*it, but they did the job on the go. After listening to Bang & Olufsen’s signature sound, I can’t go back to listening to trashy sounding earbuds. I don’t care about bells and whistles nonsense, but sound quality to me now is like a drug addiction. It’s raised the bar so high for me that even Sony, Sennhesiser and Apple AirPods Pro sound rubbish to me. Bang & Olufsen are in a different league for sound quality

    • rig4365

      April 26, 2022 at 10:29 am

@Star Boy for the ultimate sound quality in-ear is you should take a listen to the Technics model.

Battery? How long do they last? 🙄

What us that hookaround pair with the orange lid interior, in the last shot? I like hookarounds for running etc, and need to update an older pair of Beats I have for that purpose … wondering how those ( and other hookarounds?) compare to the latest Beats hookarounds … Thanks!!

Yeah, as most reviews, they are always super good. Bought the MTW 2 and it didn’t sound thaaat great. Airpods Pro and Galaxy Buds have more natural sound and blow it out of the water in terms of accuracy, completely different experience in comparison with their headphones.

      April 26, 2022 at 2:59 pm

My MTW2 ANC is so bad compared to the Bose and xm4

i prefer the design and look of the mtw 2s earbuds …they did get most things right all I was looking forward to was just a shrunk down case size close to Jabras offerings or airpods pro …but I don’t see much difference …

Thanks for the reviews. Your reviews are always good. Can you give us a comparison between the new TW3 vs Sony WF-1000XM4? Thanks!

Don’t you just love it when companies decide to make the safe choice of providing marginal improvements over already existing products instead of innovating with new features?! It’s awesome, isn’t it?! 😀

Be very curious to try these out. My biggest gripe with the previous model was that I could not get a tight and comfortable seal in my ear. Very curious to give these a go. Thanks for the review.

Beware that reviewers are paid to do reviews, and some reviewers give good reviews for some kickbacks, purchase commissions, etc. This is also mixed in with their own personal takes. I would suggest if one reviewers says something is good, take it as grain of salt until you also hear from others as well. Even better, try it out yourself, as opinions are more of a personal thing. One person could say something is amazing, while another say is literal trash. It’s all personal preferences.

hello, does it have white color and the problems mentioned in the user comments in tru wriles 2, do you think some problems such as not clear phone calls and full noise canceling have been solved in 3 generations, and frankly, I was expecting three, but should I choose it?

  16. Krisztian Papp

    April 26, 2022 at 4:04 pm

I have the tw2. I was waiting for these very much but not a lot improvement has taken place, let alone we have been waiting 2 years for it. Oh well maybe the next one will have the wow factor. And a bit more battery life. And a Hi-Res codec.

    • Sa. na

      April 27, 2022 at 9:30 am

True. The upgrade was just minor. The next thing they need is as you said it right, hi-res codec; but I doubt if wireless technology is available for the same. Sonys are not truly hi-res, that’s what I heard.

    • Krisztian Papp

      April 27, 2022 at 10:56 am

@Sa. na LDAC is certified as Hi-Res 999kpbs. Aptx HD is Max 567. What the MTW 3 has is just aptx adaptive which contains only aptx and aptx low latency. A $35 tws is capable of it as a matter of fact quite nicely. For this price an LDAC would be appropriate.

You seem a lot less enthused compared to the Sony WF-1000xm4. You seemed smitten with those. So if you had to pick just 1, which of those two would you pick?

  18. btomye

    April 26, 2022 at 4:45 pm

is it worth to upgrade from XM4 to Momentum 3 ?

    • Jason Smith

      April 26, 2022 at 6:00 pm

Probably not, the XM4 have better ANC, battery life, and features, you might feel like you lost a bit of those if you upgrade. The XM4 are still pretty new also, so you might want to wait a little while longer before upgrading. 🙂

    • The Echelon

      April 27, 2022 at 5:34 pm

Why do you think it’s an upgrade?

    • JLummin

      April 27, 2022 at 8:43 pm

almost in the same boat. My XM4s are my Airpod Pro backups and nothing touches Pros ANC and Transparency but for sound Sony is better. But for comfort I’m interested in the Senheisers because with how big the Sonys are you can feel some ear soreness as it comes down to the fit

Have Sennheiser momentum tws2 and they are unbelievable and I think I will change to tws 3…

  20. juan argueta

    April 26, 2022 at 6:27 pm

Not a fan of the new design it might grow on me too basic the old ones looked better with the metallic finish hope i get better battery life out of these since with mtw2 i only got about 4 to 4 1/2 out of them way lower than the advertised 7hrs

  21. John Jensen

    April 26, 2022 at 6:59 pm

Wonder how many years the batteries last. My first generation gave up after 2 years. I calculated $ 3-4 per listening session.

  22. Se Kk

    April 26, 2022 at 7:47 pm

I don’t get it why they can’t just release smaller earbuds. These are still too big for my taste.

    • The Echelon

      April 27, 2022 at 5:27 pm

You have no idea how TWS earbuds work then, do you? Because alongside drivers, they also need a battery and components for the smart electronics. If you want to have smaller earbuds, go with wired ones.

    • Se Kk

      April 27, 2022 at 10:18 pm

Apparently someone is having his period.
There are a lot of earbuds that has similar specs but are smaller.

  23. Marcin Romanowski

    April 26, 2022 at 8:34 pm

As a TWS1 and TWS2 user I was so excited for them to come and I’m really dissapointed…they look cheaper than the B&O EQ’s and even cheaper than the TWS2/1…The sound Quality is the most important thought so I watched the Flossy Carter review of those and the B&O Eq are still at the 1st place…

I’m not spending $400 on a pair of earbuds

  24. Jordan

    April 26, 2022 at 10:47 pm

I was waiting on these until I bought my beats fit pro for $50. Was way too good of a deal to pass. Saw them for $130 open box at best best then the price went down to $99 and I also used a $50 rewards certificate = $50

  25. Technodrone313

why the EQ have only 2 bands lol

    • The Echelon

      April 27, 2022 at 5:35 pm

3, not 2. But yeah, quite minimal

  27. Kali Linux

    April 27, 2022 at 2:43 am

no. voice calls are not that great , lot of background feed nose

  28. Angelo Crisu

    April 27, 2022 at 7:29 am

It can’t as long as the transfer rate of aptx adaptive 440kbs/sec are less than 990kbs ldac and even balanced 660 kbs.
I own sennheiser cx 400 but I would like it to have ldac.

  29. Nightwatch

    April 27, 2022 at 7:50 am

The best balanced tws sound is Technics AZ60. If Sennheiser made it worse then it’s officially dead.

  30. thenonexistinghero

    April 27, 2022 at 9:39 am

The price seems pretty great. I’m still sticking to my Sony WF-1000XM3’s though, I don’t think the sound quality of anything released afterwards has been a significant enough upgrade. I do think that in terms of sound quality, it’s probably best to go for the Sony XM4’s over this if you can spare the extra cash. And only for 1 reason… the software. It’s pretty crappy compared to Sony having a lot of options and customizability.

    • Ezra Pardede

      April 27, 2022 at 11:02 am

I don’t think sennheiser app is “crappy” it’s just more barebones and simplistic

    • thenonexistinghero

      April 27, 2022 at 12:10 pm

@Ezra Pardede Barebones and simplistic is what you use for the first iteration. It’s been years and it’s hardly any better. There’s no excuse for it still being as bad as it is after years of having actual consumer feedback.

I still cant decide which one should i get, the sennheiser true wireless 3 or the sony wf-1000xm4. Can anyone help? (Btw im buying it in malaysia and it cost 194 dollars. Is it worth it?) (yes this a copy and paste comment cuz i need to know fast and there’s a huge change that the creator of vid or anyone would answer this)

    • The Echelon

      April 27, 2022 at 5:33 pm

Go watch ShortCircuit’s review. They don’t seemed to be impressed. The sony also have their faults, like discomfort. Have a look at the Soundcore Liberty 3’s, much better value.

  34. Rocky Reddy

    April 27, 2022 at 6:20 pm

Good reviewer, really informative and well produced. Good tips on how to customize and really good job on show real life testing.

  35. David Esp

    April 27, 2022 at 6:57 pm

05:41 and 05:47 – bass is discussed but the Bass Boost switch looks like it’s off, at least in this image, and was not discussed. The most reported advantage of the MTW2 was its bass response, reported by many YT-users as superior to other makes/models.

  36. JLummin

    April 27, 2022 at 8:45 pm

how is the ANC and transparency compared to Sony XM4? sound wise I’m expecting similar because Sony already known for good sound but if I’m considering these, its about the comfort because of the smaller size and as long as the features are equally as good

  37. Blood cell u/

    April 27, 2022 at 10:19 pm

Sennheiser is always the sony slayer 🤣

  38. Harald

    April 27, 2022 at 10:24 pm

Well, it is quite important to tell how they compare to the very best on the marked right now: the 400$ Beoplay EQ!??

Thank you for this amazing content! I want to ask a suggestion. As a Mac,ipad, iPhone user Should I buy AirPods Pro or Momentum 3 ? Sound quality and ANC are important for me. Thanks for your answer.
