Oh they’ve improved the brightness. Groundbreaking

      January 11, 2021 at 8:22 pm

@TR Game Studios Overrated and overpriced, just as Sony TV’s have always been.

    • Classic Galactica

      January 11, 2021 at 8:24 pm

Yep. And if you watch in subdued or even moderate lighting conditions, the additional brightness actually looks worse and you have to ratchet it down.

      January 11, 2021 at 8:48 pm

@Classic Galactica I disagree with you their. Sony have best TVs in picture because finding the right balance in contrast. Again people, its about having enough Nits to show more in lighting effects in certain areas. You may think your TV has enough brightness, wait untill you see 8K and 4000 nits!’

@Harpreet Singh Sony use their own Triluminos display for wider range colours. Very much like QLED but cheaper.

I don’t understand the obsession with brightness! Really dont, my HDR looks insane 🧠

My CX OLED is fine for my eyes.. 👀

    • Lee Challenor

      January 11, 2021 at 2:53 pm

Because we can see around 7000 nits. In brightness terms, lot more to come. Although Contrast should be thought of first. Sony have best TVs for this.

    • Kenny Ward

      January 11, 2021 at 4:01 pm

@Lee Challenor yeah i know, but i dont need a super bright TV, i sit 6.5 feet away and the details are incredible, i know the tech is an improvement but to me its minimal gains. I had a brighter Samsung previously and prefer the OLEDs performance despite it being slightly less bright 👍🏻

    • Lee Challenor

      January 11, 2021 at 4:14 pm

@Kenny Ward Right on. Whatever viewing you feel is right. Like I stated, I want that contrast just much brightness.

      January 11, 2021 at 5:28 pm

Same. I have a B7 and a CX. Plenty bright for me. My rooms are dark and detail is incredible.

This guy’s tv reviews are like a Unicorn often talked about but rarely seen. Cnet tv reviews are horrible.

So C1 is the same as CX? Meh

Nope its improved if i am not wrong…plus there is a 43 inch model

      @Tazboy 42*

You probably shouldn’t show that backlighting image when talking about mini led. Those images are of traditional led backlighting but mini leds are smaller and more compact together. It just gives a false representation to people who are not in the know.

    • Tazboy

      January 11, 2021 at 3:17 pm

Micro led are even more smaller …microscopic size like pixel…million of them

    I still love my C6

No point in getting OLED displays. The lower light output and screen burn in issues are the main things I dislike about OLED.
It’s better to go with Mini LED if you’re going to get new TVs.

      No.

    LG: “Don’t worry about it.“
