American Tiktok Content creators. Tiktok Inc U.S is claiming they are a Publisher. The app is the root of the ban, it’s the Algorithem and data mining.

  35. @zacklee5168

    January 11, 2025 at 11:34 pm

Hey Frank McCourt, if you already have a better tech from your$500M and 5 years investment, why not launch an alternate TikTok with your “clean stack” to compete with TikTok? Since you mentioned, you don’t need TikTok algorithm, which by the way, any businessman with a few brain cells would tell you – is the most valuable piece of TikTok. So instead of being a hypocrite and using “national security” as an excuse like every american politician do, go be THE man and compete fair and square!! American politicians jealousy and insecurities of China are disgraceful, despicable and disgusting! They use “national security” as often as they use the toilet!

For people who dont know, all Chinese comanies are subject to sharing their users data to the Chinese government. Meanwhile China bans US apps like Facebook, snapchat, google, instagram etc.
If tiktok is a security concern because of its data sharing and propaganda influence from an adversarial country then it clearly must be divested or made to leave.

OpenClaw creator Peter Steinberger takes us back to the transformative moment he let his AI agent loose on the internet, igniting one of the world’s fastest-growing open-source projects. He makes a fascinating (and slightly unnerving) case that agents are a real shift, not just better versions of chatbots, and explores how they might reshape your ability to work, build and create. “The lobster is loose, and it’s not going back into the tank,” he says. (Followed by a brief Q&A with TED Chairman Chris Anderson) (Recorded at TED2026 on April 16, 2026)
