It’s ok but the Sony – 77″ class BRAVIA XR A80K 4K HDR OLED TV and the LG – 65″ Class CX Series OLED 4K UHD Smart is better for me. Especially for gaming. The Xbox pass is pretty kool though.

two different types. Lets see that OLED pump out a sustained 1000 nits of brightness and not Burn in. on the flip side, lets see that samsung hit infinite blacks like an OLED.
Both are good TV’s stop acting like OLED is perfect. I have a A80J but I am in a dark room, if I had nothing but windows all around the room, I would have bought the QN90B.

Qled tvs are not better than OLED

    • C Alvz

      August 3, 2022 at 7:28 pm

They kinda are, brighter and very similar contrast ratio if it’s MiniLED and no potential of burn in over time of OLED so QLED + MiniLED is the best imo

    • VSVPBiggums

      August 3, 2022 at 8:56 pm

@C Alvz but with qled you dont get the true blacks. I’ve had my oled for a couple years now and had no problems With it.

      August 3, 2022 at 10:53 pm

@C Alvz Nope. OLED will always have deeper blacks. Samsung QLED is a garbage gimmick.

    • bign3ck

      August 4, 2022 at 4:52 pm

@yodaisgod2 it’s 2012 technology, sony invented it, called it triluminous, all qled is, is an lcd TV with better colour, Oled is way better in every area, and brightness is irrelevant when it causes blooming, and bleeding into black.

    • yodaisgod2

      August 4, 2022 at 5:01 pm

@bign3ck THAT IS BRAND NEW INFORMATION!

I think the x95k with mini led is better with color tone, but this TV is no slouch!

They didn’t talk about the update that decreased the brightness on this tv????????

More Samsung QLED garbage. Enjoy the ads and sharing your viewing habits.

The Rtings TV test site compares the 2022 Samsung QN90B to the 2021 QN90A and shows that these two models have virtually IDENTICAL performance. (In some respects – such as out-of-the-box color accuracy and black uniformity – the 2021 QN90A actually has better specs than the 2022 QN90B.) These models are so similar that if I were deciding between them I would definitely save myself some money by choosing last year’s version. (By the way, if you have your heart set on buying a huge TV the QN90A is available in a 98-inch size but the QN90B is not!)

I’d nect recommend this for gaming, because you can turn of dynamic tone mapping. Xbox and Playstation has a setting to do tone mapping, and you can’t disable tone mapping on the console.

  21. bign3ck

    August 4, 2022 at 4:49 pm

I wouldn’t get this tv, it’s basically the same as last years, and massively over priced, it’s LG or Sony for me and anyone who wants a true premium experience.
