I’m so glad that such a big social media company like this has talked about the expandable storage with the SD card removal. It is NOT OK to remove this feature! I hope they put this feature back in or I’ll be sticking with my Note 10 Plus. I would have gone with the S21 Ultra until I realised they did away with the SD card slot!!

      July 14, 2021 at 5:27 pm

Who cares, SD storage is far slower than inbuilt UFS, plus there’s so much standard storage these days it doesn’t matter. It’s like the people who whinge about headphone jacks when the world has moved onto wireless. Same with removable batteries. Samsung first will mock but then shamelessly copy, don’t ever think they’re some Anti-Apple company that does the complete opposite forever, they will try to do some sly marketing and then copy once they know they too can squeeze more money out of the consumer.

      July 14, 2021 at 6:06 pm

@User depends on the SD card to be honest. Besides since when can you get 500/1tb internal storage on a phone? Just because it’s something that you don’t need, it doesn’t mean that other people don’t want it? There are thousands and thousands of people that are not happy with this. I’m not too fussed about the headphone jack but then that doesn’t mean it’s ok just because I’m not happy.

External SD is useless just get upgraded storage if you need 2 TB on your phone you have issues

      Lol

Idk I feel the Samsung s10 is great and has features the s21 doesn’t have. Phone don’t really need to be upgraded more than they are now. Adding features that the majority people don’t use just so u can say its a upgrade is pointless imo

    • User

      July 14, 2021 at 5:40 pm

Except you fail to realise you aren’t in that majority. The majority wants a faster, sleeker phone with better cameras and longer battery life. If you’re buying a flagship phone you’re after that flagship experience. Flagship buyers don’t care about things like headphone jacks (we’re on true wireless now) or expandable storage (inbuilt is much faster and more secure).

Those are outdated legacy items that the modern flagship buyer doesn’t care about, it might be something a modern budget phone buyer might care about if they can’t afford true wireless or bought a phone with a low level of storage.

For people who think they’ll use 200MP: NO. they won’t do that. It’s true that they’re making a 200MP camera. But they will not use it in their phones. Xiaomi will use that camera.
S22 Ultra will again use the 108MP camera sensor but the third generation and with improvements. Another good improvement tho can come with 10x zoom. It may have a variable optical zoom camera between maybe 3x to 10x.
But the S22 and S22 Plus may get a brand new 50MP large main camera instead of 12MP.

  7. Lamar Frazier

    July 14, 2021 at 5:19 pm

You was being reasonable until you said make the price cheaper…lol

I have the S21 ultra and I like alot. Coming from a OnePlus 7 Pro, it’s definitely an upgrade. No complaints here 👌🏽

The only innovation in phones goes in the camera there is no reason to upgrade unless you like taking slightly better pictures

I strongly disagree with the idea of having smaller size screen. I love using the big screen for gaming and entertainment.

Feels like expandable storage is a practical way to reduce costs.

    • Daily Gamer

      July 14, 2021 at 10:01 pm

It’s actually adds to the build of material because the slot will need to be open and space like we see with the S21 series it was move to the bottom for better mics and the newer camera sensor, plus the camera bump body

  15. Jussainwuturthinkn

    July 14, 2021 at 8:15 pm

Yet we still have 240p captures of 🛸. The S23 will be a god damned telescope 🔭.

Do not waste you money on Samsung if you want vr. I bought the gear vr for my s7 and the support for it was gone before the s20 came out and their customer support ignored my request for help

I agree with all of these besides the small screen thing i strongly disagree on that. I like watching movies and YouTube on my phone and my phone is my main computer so i much rather have a larger screen. Who would want a smaller screen phone in 2021 😂 ? No thanks……

I’m pretty sure would be AWESOME

How about make the phone wider. It’s one of the things I hate about Samsung phones they are made too narrow.

  25. Mdogbrown

#1 No shutter lag and blurry photos on moving subjects. That is all. Everything else about the s21 ultra is great!

  26. Salty

    July 15, 2021 at 2:19 am

Expandable storage is why I’m using Samsung. Otherwise, one plus for example can get the job done. So pls bring back sd card storage.

SAMSUNG ::: What you people think doesn’t matter, we will do as opposite to what you asked
ME in INDIA ::: Hey plz give us Snapdragon in flagship..
SAMSUNG ::: Here you go M42 5G with SD 750G but a cheap 720p display
ME :: 👍🐂🐂👍👍 nice give SD and take amoled out of picture.

Also no use of exyNOs X AMD until the developers in GAME and SAMSUNG side do optimization. For EG: s20+ I am using still not optimized for BGMI/PUBG same goes for s21 series.
For most Game devs there is only 1 SOC in this world that is SNAPDRAGON and if your country has it then ur are safe.

5 things cnet want to see in galaxy s22:
    1. There should be an apple log on it.
    2. Samsung should change the phone name to iPhone
    3. They should use out of date and boring design.
    4. They should use technology from 3 years ago and act like it never exist until now.
    5. Repeat step 1 to 4

  32. Mito

    July 15, 2021 at 9:12 am

Base and plus model of S series of phones are glorified A series phones. They cut features out of them and praise ultra for having them. Base and plus models doesnt even have a isocell sensor their own tech! Fake telephoto lens was disgusting on s21 but ultra model had 2 proper optical zoom cameras. Samsung should stop making fun of Apple then copy what they mocked. They make the exynos Soc that means they have control over the software support and overall apple-like software integration among hardware but samsung does nothing cause that doesnt bring money. Overall apple might a ruthless with their prices but samsung might be greedier im glad Pixel flagship is back this year

    6000 mAh

Bigger sensor because mega pixel isn’t all that.
    Better zoom

  45. David Empire

If this happens, I would certainly upgrade to the S22 Ultra from my “iPhone 13 Pro” which I’d likely have at that time.

We or atleast me want to see Samantha!🥵

  47. watchthe1369

    July 16, 2021 at 6:36 am

    1. Cameras can resolve things better than the human eye, they do not need improved. A multispectrum camera with built in Infrared or something would be a real upgrade.
    2. The ability to truly upgrade storage with a truly massive SSD. A terabyte plus would be great.
    3. I like a larger phone, I am less likely to forget about it. Something you can comfortably read on while still fitting in a pocket would be the best balance.
    4. Yes drop the fancy trimmings. A solid polymer protective case to protect my investment instead of all the gloss that is going to get a “patina” in a few months anyways.
    5. Fast charge and a full day of reading and listening time in a charge.

  48. Mann Egar

    July 16, 2021 at 7:26 am

Size is subjective, I’m currently using a 6.7inch bezeless display and I feel like I want more. Maybe a 6.9inch?
Some of us love Big curved display, and we have the hands to accommodate it

  49. Jacob Huff

    July 16, 2021 at 7:39 am

Honestly, you basically nailed it. What I want to see is someone making an affordable phone with good specs and a small size.

  50. Kaze Xo

I want bigger battery in same size and 1440 screen and better cameras

  56. Timothy Lane

    July 16, 2021 at 3:06 pm

A bezel!!! So we can, you know, hold on to the stinking phone without constantly activating things on accident. I loved my S11. But it was just too difficult to hold. I went back to Pixel (4, with a case).

I want the the phone to be bigger but smaller.

  62. Erik Penabella

    July 17, 2021 at 2:51 am

IMO, the S21 Ultra with expandable storage would be the perfect phone, hands down.

  63. Tammy Hooper

    July 17, 2021 at 4:29 am

I need and want bigger screens for the simplest reason of all…I can’t see like I used to, and also I have big clumsy fingers, so for me,…The BIGGEST IS BEST! AND NOT ENOUGH STORAGE IS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM FOR ME. I BOUGHT A TB1 CARD AND FILLED IT UP IN A DAY!

  64. Artur Azizkhanian

    July 17, 2021 at 4:45 am

I don’t plan on upgrading until the micro SD card slot returns.

  65. Brandon Graser

    July 17, 2021 at 7:32 am

That’s reasonable but… I would like to see the processor get made by Qualcomm . All the phones I’ve had have been snapdragon and I had one that was Samsung Exynos processor and it failed within first year and was unlocked. And the final thing would be a better cooling system in particular Start using silver based thermal compound or thermal grizzly liquid metal. Also instead of a plastic back it would be nice to have a half polycarbonate and half metal back cuz plastic backs are easier scraped up . Polycarbonate is much less likely to Shader Plus they could put a coating on it Just to be sure it scratch proof The metal part would dissipate the heat Also it might not be a bad idea to cool the cameras so that way if they could add a faster frame rate and better slow motion.

Get rid of the hole in the display and curved edge….I will spend extra 200 for that alone ..I don’t care if it has a bezel…I’ll take that over a hole any day.

    • chris wentworth

      July 18, 2021 at 1:04 am

S22 is supposed to have something that covers the hole

I love the large phone personally

  72. captainvijaikanth

Samsung release a lot of phones. So, why can’t they release a phone with a recycling and repairability and fixed form factor design?
