Ruined so many peoples lives; but you can’t help to see how many hands where in this and how “Bankman” is just the scapegoat. This took the wind out of the retail investor hoping to have a decentralized future. The world is truly a stage.

I think the suiting title is “Bad math: the destruction of the Nexus”. Just to explain, the destruction of the Nexus is how you lose in the game league of legends Sam Bankman Fried’s favorite game. And In general I think it’s bad math of course he was wrong to dip his hands in customer funds but he did that with some hedging (maths) in mind and thus his fall.

Only a complete idiot would look at this Fried guy and think: “He looks legit! I’m gonna put my money into his crypto exchange and let him do whatever he wants with it!”

Apple filed a trade secrets lawsuit against OpenAI last Friday, and it’s not messing around. The complaint alleges a pattern of misconduct reaching all the way up to OpenAI’s chief hardware officer and claims more than 400 former Apple employees now work at the company. OpenAI’s response so far has been carefully hedged, and the timing couldn’t be worse with the company reportedly eyeing an IPO as early as later this year.

On this episode of TechCrunch’s Equity podcast, hosts Kirsten Korosec, Anthony Ha, and Sean O’Kane dig into what the lawsuit could mean for OpenAI’s own hardware ambitions and IPO timeline, plus a bigger theme running through the week’s news: how much should anyone trust AI companies with their data?
