Trading in my Xbox one X for 200.00 at GameStop for Series X. Will get ps5 digital for exclusives and Xbox for game pass and third party since it’s much more powerful. 700.00 for both consoles much cheaper then a PC.

Its not important now because sony doesn’t have the power narrative on its side anymore for example ps4 and xbox one minimal power difference. but this is a big difference between ps5 and xbox series x now power doesn’t mean anything? Double standards still on effect. Just like xbox sony exclusives are going to pc also so we can argue that we don’t need a ps5 either.

Hi to all.
What would you choose for 8 year boy who love to play Mario games on his Wii? I wish to buy new console for my boy and enjoy by myself also (COD once per year), but I have to be sure that my son will get right games.
I have no experience whatsoever as I prefer PC, but I can’t afford to buy both. Buying Nintendo Switch have a sense, but IMO it’s expencive for what you get.
One more thing… What about game prices? Same for both platforms? I understand that digital option limit you to new (not 2nd hand) game purchase?
Last thing… Can you watch movies on game consoles? Streaming Netflix, BBC Iplayer? Or from pendrive (X264 and x265)?
I almost forget… Do you use gaming pads only? I know about VR, but what else you can attach? I wish to keep him moving (belly growing… his and mine)

You’ve just proved to me exactly what I’ve felt about the “rushed” Gen5. I feel that your better off to wait till Gen 6. Gen5 seems to me like they are simply showing off stats on the hardware. I don’t feel like games have progressed enough to justify this Gen5. Gen6 will be the next big thing. In a way to which I cannot think of.

At this stage, I buy a PC for gaming. I buy a PS or for exclusives. And a Switch for traveling. I’m sorry, but Halo and Gears just don’t draw me in any more. It’s honestly like Microsoft said, ok, we lost this round. How about we just phone it in on winning the console race? They are clearly trying to Ubisoft their console. But please.. PLEASE don’t go out spending money you don’t have just to say you have these things right out of the gate. Especially not with the way things are right now. Shame on Microsoft for this credit plan. This is why Americans are so bad with money. Credit this, loan that. If you don’t have $500 laying around, then don’t buy anything. You can wait. I guarantee you probably haven’t finished every game you could have. And then there will actually be more games to make it a worthwhile purchase.

This is most likely be the final generation of home console, in the next 5-10yrs when 5G become mature. Things will move to cloud computing with an unlimited processing power, you’ll not need a super powerful machine in front of you. The trend will also affect the CPU and GPU on the consumer market, honestly who wouldn’t be excited when they don’t have to spend thousands of dollars on upgrading and still get the highest possible FPS on every game like the rich kids.

I’ve owned every generation of xbox and playstation since they had online compatability and will be continuing to do so. In my experience there is not enough difference between the two to really say one is better than the other. My only reason for buying both consoles is so that I can play online with different groups of friends and to a lesser degree game exclusivity.

i was there when ps3 lunched, later it had an improved slim. i was among the 1st who got ps4 which was the new console. the made the better slim and improved ps4 pro. i got the pro. its ps5 in 6 weeks. i aint gonna kill mislf. the pro version is coming. in few years or even ps6. i will wait see how it played out.
