It’s like we are going back to what the Wii U did, when wanting to play a game when the TV was being used. Most homes these days have more than one TV so I’m still not sure who this is for. It’s a pro controller with a screen streaming game from your PS5 using link, which must be much better than the wireless remote play. It’s an interesting idea and I hope the range is good, the price is better than expected.

This is the ridiculous attempt to charge people for a product that doesn’t do anything. Are you kidding me?

People complaining, I get it, it’s not something you’ll use.

I have a great case scenario to use it. So while you don’t see yourself using it, doesn’t mean others can’t use it.

    You’ll be ok.

Day 1 purchase for me. Love to game while watching a sporting event or just to hang with the wife while she watching TV. Would have preferred a portable PS4 with access to my digital library and PS+ Premium games but this will do for now.

No standard bluetooth connectivity and instead creating a bespoke “playstation link” is kinda dumb and off putting. Why.

As someone who plays handheld gaming exclusively (I own a Switch) this might finally make me buy a PS5.

So what I understood is that Sony is becoming more like an Apple, making buy useless stuff only for their devices, instead of making really good new psp or ps vita, they chose this road. JUST MAKE US NEW PSP @playstation!

As always, my advice is to let your voice be heard with your money. But best believe Sony will move these units.

Apple filed a trade secrets lawsuit against OpenAI last Friday, and it’s not messing around. The complaint alleges a pattern of misconduct reaching all the way up to OpenAI’s chief hardware officer and claims more than 400 former Apple employees now work at the company. OpenAI’s response so far has been carefully hedged, and the timing couldn’t be worse with the company reportedly eyeing an IPO as early as later this year.

On this episode of TechCrunch’s Equity podcast, hosts Kirsten Korosec, Anthony Ha, and Sean O’Kane dig into what the lawsuit could mean for OpenAI’s own hardware ambitions and IPO timeline, plus a bigger theme running through the week’s news: how much should anyone trust AI companies with their data?
