This is WORTHLESS.. CANCEL IT AN BRING OUT A REAL HANDHELD! It was not difficult a handheld that can play PS1 / PS2 / PS3 / PSP / PS VITA digital games and PS4/5 steaming… it was so easy and no brainer it would have sold MILLIONS! but they go the stupid route…

Assuming Sony goes for the PS5 slim instead of PS5 Pro in this generation, bundling Project Q with PS5 while maintaining the same price point on the whole package might be able to attract prospective buyers who are looking forward to the successor of Nintendo Switch, if this combo also works over 5G rather than limited to local Wi-Fi.

Don’t waste money on this. There’s literally an app that does the EXACT same thing. You can stream from your PS5 with any phone, tablet, PC, or laptop and a PS controller with the streaming app.

If the latency is good. It might be worth a look. I honestly have been doing some remote play on xbox and although it is an ok experience. The need to free up your phone is quite limiting since your phone is your primary comms device and switching between messaging apps and remote play is just a chore.
This being dedicated to remote play/streaming fixes that. Kinda like retro handhelds.
But this is just a vs smartphone + controller combo. If you”ve already got something dedicated to just doing remote play like a retro handheld with wifi/razer edge. Then you would probably not need this except for the better controller experience?

Could be a hit if it can be used as a standard controller for the PS5 with the screen as an extension. Game developers could integrate ways to use the screen in their games (ex: Selecting plays/making adjustments in sport games, selecting loadouts in fps games, inventory in RPGs, etc) and Sony could use it for text chatting, managing a party, etc. There’s a lot of potential there if done correctly

1. You can already do remote play with your phone with the dualsense.
2. Remote play is terrible even with great internet speeds. There’s still input lag and sometimes drops picture.
So my question is who is this for? This makes no sense. If I can’t take it on the go, what’s the point? If this thing is more than $150 they ain’t gonna sell anything. Only people that will buy them will be the thousands of YouTubers who buy them for a review 😂

This is my thought. Yes it’s pretty ugly however.. I do like that it’s a large screen, LCD will keep the cost down over OLED. The grip being high up on the device should keep the balance nice and most of all what people aren’t mentioning. This will be the most comfortable in hand gaming tablet on the market. I’m sure the wrist and hand fatigue will be at a minimal. I believe at $200 these things will sell. I’m not the have a TV in my bedroom type. All my handhelds have always been my go to 20-30 mins of game time before bed that can be placed on my nightstand. Give me access to my PS4, PS5 and PS Plus catalog in bed. I’m in at $200.

hideous, destined to fail, abomination, bring back the PSP and call it simply playstation portable, yes mobile gaming is big now, but you simply cannot play console level games on a phone, they simply do not exist.
Bring a nice 2k 6.5″ screen, plenty of 1st and 3rd party titles and accessories, give it all the mobile connectivity option, a modern UI, good advertising, make sure its fully playable offline when needed, price it fairly ball park £300-350 give it full PS compatibility for online gaming using game passes give it secondary screen or remote play options to get rid of this decrepit device, dont make some silly proprietary card for the games and dont try and rip people off for over priced storage cards . i would buy that device in a heart beat.

I would understand if it didn’t need an internet connect, for example using the PS5’s WiFi Direct, so the Project Q thing only needs to pair with the PS5.
Needless to say my disappointed is endless andy day has been ruined. They could have made an Ayaneo like device that can Stream from the PS5 BUT also be dedicated to Indie games only for example.

If i could pair this to my ps5. Then take it to my brothers house, switch it on, and connect to my ps5 back in my house and play my games. Then switch off my ps5 remotely and this thing. Id buy it.
But if voth this and the ps5 need to be on the same netowrk together then its going to be useless to most people.

Im just waiting for the super nintendo switch to be announced. Switch won this console generation its honesty pathetic that Microsoft and sony are struggling with software on stronger hardware while nintendo is releasing games on weaker hardware and is winning the competition.
