The transcripts of their YouTube videos have been scraped to train the AI used by major companies like Anthropic, Nvidia, Apple and Salesforce. An investigation from Wired and Proof News found that this dataset contains transcripts from over 173,000 YouTube videos on more than 48,000 different channels.

    If it comes right down to it I’ll cancel my YouTube. A lot of YouTube that I watch has been taken over by ai and I don’t like it. I’ve noticed a lot of the content is not accurate, especially on the true crime channels.
