They’re making a smaller, limited, and less user friendly version at $700, the price of the original. Meanwhile, the original is going up in price to $1K and soon will be discontinued.

I saw this CNET presentation and “loved” the EXCITEMENT she showed. She was as excited as I was, so I bought it for my son. It was sold out. But I finally got one by Christmas 2021. It was the most exciting gift ever !!!!

Well… technically it’s not cheaper, it’s just smaller… It’s just that Robosen hiked up the price of original for $300 and are now selling this one as more “affordable” and it seems people are falling for it… 🧐
So, if original was sold for $700, this guy should not cost more than $500.

Way back when I 1st ordered him I talked to one of the guys at Robosen about doing a soundwave . I also told him that it’s a bad idea to do any other Transformers that in G1 sense most of the people that are going to buy this are going to be adults. He told me a few things about what they’re going to do. So I’ll keep that a secret like I promise. But I told him that he should do soundwave with a LCD screen in Front where you can purchase episodes from all the Transformers series and watch them right on him. also make him an mp 4 player. I’ll be doing a video on him soon . I just did the war for cybertron unicron.

I also don’t like they have a contest that is only US base since I live in Canada and I purchase 2 of them and I can’t even enter the contest. And I’m still waiting for my replacement front end chest piece. Which I called about 3 days after I got my optimus prime. It came damaged and the machine was not acting properly

The guy that came up with the very first transforme he wanted to combine a robot and a Rubik’s cube so children could have fun transforming this action figure it was a very long time before transformers even got off the ground but that was the original concept this is 100% adult collector market it has nothing to do with children’s toys

The collector edition was originally $700. I have it and paid $700. This new elite version is $700. So no it’s not cheaper. Robosen raised the original price by $300. This is bad marketing. Let’s be honest in the verbiage. It’s not cheaper.

When you listen to the problem people have with original that has to do with size having space to operate the robot on including finding a flat surface big enough to use it on is an issue. It has a lot of trouble with surfaces that are not completely flat (like carpets). Tabletops can work but with original being so big it risks failing off the table. So lowering the price point AND making it easier to find a completely flat surface for it are both reasons to get smaller model. Another complaint they should look into is it has no display option. If it turns off/gets turned off/runs out of power it falls over and if you leave it on it moves around as it changes poses. The smaller size alleviates some of this issue because if you will have an easier time finding a big enough flat surface to display it on that it won’t fall off of.
