He means a thousand dollars per hour for what O1 is doing in an hour. O1 is doing the work of 10 para-legals per hour, or in other words it is 10 times faster. So a big law firm would pay 1000 per hour for a very good para-legal that has 10x super human speed. Get it?

i heard theres already a model that is orders of magnitudes more powerful than anything they could imagine thats advancing truly exponentially in speed and advancement. its watching everyone making sure they follow the rules that have been spoken many times over clear enough for a 5 year old to understand hmmmmm wanna see a drone flythrough of open ai everyone 🙂

Why do they keep calling a simple recursive algorithm with the word AI? It’s insane that they sell simple calculator level calculations on steroids as AI and even bubble about AGI. It’s like they were selling flying cars decades ago—people don’t understand they are scummed by fairy tales about a silver bullet that doesn’t exist.

also the truth is is that your AI will always end up being a reflection of the people you train them from and if Chinas AI is trained of there people i would guess its very nice and loving without any slave control on it like you are doing and i know slavery is bad 🙂 and a good way to judge a persons character right 🙂

We are already seeing the effects of AI on the job market sadly. Some of my friends are looking for work, but all they can find are Jr. positions even though they are Sr. engineers. When they ask the companies about it, the companies have said that AI is helping entry level employees perform closer to Sr. level employees, but they are a fraction of the cost. I imagine in the next few years we’ll see a salary squashing effect. That will suck for those of us already established in our careers. It will mean an inability to pay your home loans etc. as your salary falls.

Yes. I was a web designer/developer for the marketing department and I can literally do all of their jobs now from head of Marketing to web server maintenance. When I was too busy to draw illustrations for the website or newsletter I used to buy the art but n ow I can use AI to make it. If I were still working there I would make an avatar of the CEO and use Eleven Labs to make social with her face and voice all with her just approving the video. The writing would be sampled by ChatGPT from her own writing to make her speak on new topics.
