just review the Oneplus watch , compare it to other android wearables.. no apple user in their sane mind would consider an android wear , its still far behind.. and even if android wear is ready to compete with apple that would be the day apple will outright block such pairing.. tell me if i got this wrong

I do appreciate your effort but this comparison is not valid, not only you don’t have the watch yet but how are you comparing a $150 watch to a $400 watch that’s almost 3 times the price, that’s like comparing a OnePlus Nord to an iPhone 12 Pro Max lol. But I will be waiting for your review when you get the watch and you might want to compare it to Galaxy Active 2 😉

I realize the long battery life is the cost for accuracy because it will capture your blood flow less frequently and try to put more assumption to the result. And normally, what is the assumption it will make? It is your figure is normal so what is the chance it capture an abnormal case?

There’s a reason a lot of these watches functionality isn’t always good on Apple the same way if the Apple Watch was compatible with Android devices. Obviously they’re not going to make them fully functional on Android lol.

There was no need to compare it with the apple watch when it is clearly an android watch, far out of the apple watch’s league.. Compare it with other android smart watches! Not a watch from an entirely different eco system! Your bias shows, and it does not look pretty on you!

This is a comparison against a watch that is not compatible with anything else than an iPhone. If Apple does not care to make the Apple Watch compatible with anything else, why should Google, Samsung or Oneplus care to have their smartwatches compatible with iPhones? I had two Apple Watches. Series 1&2. So years ago.
I own the Galaxy Watch Active 2. Love it. Right now I use the Ticwatch Pro 3. My favorite. Beautiful watch. And fast with the new 4100 processor. I highly recommend this one if you have an android phone. I use the Pixel 5.

A smartwatch that is under half the price of a top spec Apple Watch and your wasting our time trying to compare, your already bias to the Apple Watch so why bother? Apple made the decision not to make their watches compatible with Android phones, smartwatch manufacturers should return favour and make Android only smart watches.
This looks like a nice watch but as per normal reviewers will compare it against an Apple Watch rather than a Samsung, Honor, Huawei or Amazfit watch
Oneplus is not trying to compete with Apple.

This is a fail. No app store. Proprietary apps. Speech to text fails. It’s jus a fitness watch/tracker. It’s not smart if it can’t reply text via speech to text in responding comparing to jus pick the preloaded reply words. I don’t care so much about fitness features as I do work out at home and walk 10-14 miles a day. I have watch3 and the 4 yrs old Huawei watch. I love my Huawei. More than that new watch3 from samsung. I mainly use the watch for notifications and replying to text via my voice to texts. So google speech to texts is the best that can understand the words coming out of my mouth than samsung’s bixby voice or even Siri doesn’t get the words right. Siri and bixby is almost the same when it trying to detect words coming out of my mouth. The watch 3 is slow when it trying to respond to my speech to texts like 5+ seconds compared to google it take 1-2 seconds.

Another great watch to check out is AmazFit trex and that one is compatible for both android and iOS. Currently around 109 bucks for the regular trex and 180 for the trex pro.

I’m not sure why you are comparing using the OnePlus watch with an iPhone. People who end up getting a OnePlus watch, are going to be Android users more often. And people with iPhones will have a Apple watch more often.
If you want to compare the two devices, (i.e Apple watch vs the OnePlus watch), you should leave out what devices they’ll be paired with. Because of the small niche of people who would mismatch their pairing devices like this.

Questioning OnePlus for its product price is like wondering why an ice cream is cold. It’s their DNA. I have a Nord, not that I can’t afford a high range smartphone, but I change too often for investing ridiculous amounts of money in stuff that I can break at any time. Plus it does everything I want. I paid it 369 euros. Yep, 1/3 of the price of the base iphone 12. So what’s so surprising if that watch is half the price of the apple watch ? Beside, who said it was the best smartwatch around ? It’s just probably the most interesting for OnePlus users. And just like I got the OnePlus buds, I will take it. Why ? Because even if it’s not the best of the best, from a value perspective, there isn’t any better. Period.

I am thinking buying the OnePlus watch. Has a lot to offer for $160.
