META must build its own Cloud with its own AI data centers. Its current method of renting compute from GOOG, AMZN, MSFT, & ORCL won’t work much longer.

is Meta like xAI… nobody really want to use their AI, so they just sell the computation power to somebody else

No. Meta’s AI play is about optimizing ad revenue, which is making it the number one ad seller in the world, ahead of Google. Everything else is just finding ways to add to the bottom line. Renting out GPUs will be a significant boost to revenue.

@QXT-di8wv The cheap AI plan is Meta One Plus: $7.99/month, basically “$8/month.” Maybe they see how much people will pay to use their AI

After 18 months of being told ‘we don’t have enough compute’ for ‘AI’, suddenly xAI and Meta don’t know what to do with it.
Guess we don’t need those orbital data centres anymore? I’m sure the market will figure that out.
Oh wait SpaceX hasn’t moved on the news. Market so smart.

Anyone that thinks compute constraints have changed in the last 2 months is an absolute moron!
Nothing has changed along side your standard market manipulation and anonymous voices that have leaked “supposedly new” company information for meta!?… this shit isn’t news 🙄
