Doesn’t it like last for only 2 hours on battery? I really hope that that was an error in the “reveal” i read. Would be pathetic….

I thought it was more like 1 hour.

@ccGLaDOS Because this is a professional headset being marketed to professionals who are going to use the new professional features.

@SmileyGladhands if everything is turned on, face tracking, etc its 1 hr 30, if not it will run for 3-4 hrs

@codsane how do you use it professionally when it only lasts an hour? Are you working for 1 hour a day? I’d love to do that!!!

      Of course joking… but still

@ccGLaDOS with a power cord? That’s what quest 2 gamers do.

      October 26, 2022 at 6:03 am

@Joef Clarin But quest 2 could do that without cable for many hours and is alot older… and also in the ads they are walking around without cables 😉 so i guess that’s not gonna happen

@ccGLaDOS Ads are exaggerated most of the time. haha. But there might be 3rd-party companies that will create a power bank that fits quest pro. Or people will get creative. With my quest 2, I put my power bank in my back pocket.

I guess lower battery life is a trade-off for having many features. Just imagine the phones before. They can last for a week. Smartphones nowadays, you are lucky if they last for a day.

@Joef Clarin well looking at its design, it does look very very thin compared to the quest 2, which was already full to the brim with tech. As this has more features there probably wasn’t much space for a big battery… but you’re right there will surely be “addons” like battery packs, 1st, or 3rd party 🙂

Whats wrong with them? All companies use ads to track your data

    • N1knait

      October 25, 2022 at 6:07 pm

@business goat it’s more or less that but they have a target audience of people who are more vurnerable to that aka. Your aunt or grandma that are not used to that and most likely will fall for scams that get pushed towards them with the targeted advertisments

    • business goat

      October 25, 2022 at 9:04 pm

@N1knait not true, they just target ads for making money and people hate. Usually 15 year old kids

It’s better than letting the Chinese steal your data
