Ok, LOVE the N95 mask propaganda virtue signal. 🤢 🤮 Unsubbed.!!!

    • Mr. Marc G.

      September 27, 2023 at 4:28 pm

I just laugh. As a biologist, when covid first became a thing I read some research papers on n95 vs surgical masks, and realized it wasn’t worth wasting money on either, as studies showed little difference and poor performance of both for particles of that size.

      September 27, 2023 at 4:31 pm

virtue signaling? he did that because 50 other people used the quest 3 before him, I would too

    • Trevor Selby

      September 27, 2023 at 5:36 pm

@Hearth Traeknald That means the device is covered in microbes… the air is the least of the concern.

    • kermit1

      September 27, 2023 at 5:39 pm

      @Hearth Traeknaldbecause masks don’t work that’s why.

    • Beanos

      September 27, 2023 at 6:25 pm

@Mr. Marc G.pretty much. They can’t even prevent 20% of the virus from getting out and are pretty much completely ineffective at preventing it from getting in.

Have you trusted in the blood of Jesus? Here is the bad news, we are ALL sinners and our sins separate us from a holy and righteous Almighty God. Here is the good news, Jesus died for the forgiveness of all sins to anyone who believes in his finished work on the cross where he died, was buried, and resurrected on the third day. Paying the sin debt that we could never pay by ourselves and giving all believers in his sacrifice the promise of eternal life. For by grace are we saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is a gift from God; not of works, lest any man should boast. We are seconds away from disaster! Please find Jesus before it is too late because tomorrow is not promised!🙏♥🕊✝

Why is chub wearing a mask. Pandemic is over buddy. On top of that wearing a VR headset?

    • alex91008

      September 27, 2023 at 4:23 pm

People have been wearing masks long before the pandemic buddy. Why does it matter to you what people chose to wear on their body LMAO

    • Mr. Marc G.

      September 27, 2023 at 4:25 pm

They’re trying to bring it back for the next election.

      @Mr. Marc G.conspiracy much?

    • Beanos

      September 27, 2023 at 6:24 pm

@monkeythe masks actually make fogging worse in my experience. I’m guessing he’s still afraid from all the bs they pushed during the pandemic.

Just Pre-ordered mine on Meta’s webpage. Can’t wait till Oct 10..

What an incompetent reviewer you are, buddy. You not even mentioned FOV.

  6. johchadow

    September 27, 2023 at 3:42 pm

So the price is $650, 128 GB is paltry. Especially considering the Medal of Honor game is over 40 GB. How big will Asgard’s Wrath II be?

    • johchadow

      September 27, 2023 at 5:38 pm

@RadGuy my point was don’t waste your money on the 128 GB version.

    • Colin

      September 27, 2023 at 5:53 pm

They have cloud saves, so it’s easy to just download what you’re actually playing at a particular time and always get the games back when you want. I personally like not having too many GB of space because then I erratically move between games and lose storylines over time rather than immersing myself in a game (or two) at a time. Of course if you can afford it, go for more space! But as OG 64GB Quest 2 user, you won’t have significant problems with base Q3.

    • Beanos

      September 27, 2023 at 6:22 pm

Not everyone needs 512gb. I think they’re way overcharging for the bigger storage option though, I definitely agree with you on that.

    • Beanos

      September 27, 2023 at 6:23 pm

@johchadowI intend to play almost exclusively PCVR so 128gb is enough for 2 or 3 games and some other applications or movies, which is fine by me. Not good if it’s your only method of playing anything though.

    • Smitty Vanjagermanjenson

      September 27, 2023 at 7:24 pm

I feel like it’ll be out for 6 months-1 year and 128 will be retired for 256. It’s happened before to those of us who bought 64gb model

Funny that Meta was bashing the Vision Pro at the keynote and then uses an iPad to demo the Quest 3….

    • ilikestuff

      September 27, 2023 at 4:58 pm

I don’t see the connection, VR/AR Headsets and Tablets aren’t the same device.

    September 27, 2023 at 4:19 pm

Meta device with cameras in your house. Haha no thank you. Im good

    • Smitty Vanjagermanjenson

      September 27, 2023 at 7:26 pm

Oh wow, like Google and apple haven’t been surveying you with a front and rear facing camera phone for over a decade now 😂

  9. Mr. Marc G.

    September 27, 2023 at 4:24 pm

Most people want to escape reality, not augment it. I’d rather see less augmentation and better video instead, and eye tracking.

    • ToniSkit

      September 27, 2023 at 5:44 pm

Not true , augmentation is awesome . Only problem is the form factor today isn’t functional but in a few years who knows

    • Smitty Vanjagermanjenson

      September 27, 2023 at 7:12 pm

I want both. It’s all equal in my book.

  10. Dave

    September 27, 2023 at 4:42 pm

Scott, given you also tried the Apple Vision Pro, is the Meta Quest 3 something you could use to view a virtual computer desktop and be able to read the text on say a web page without having to adjust the font sizes? I have tried older VR systems and the resolution wasn’t good enough, too pixelated. Apple showed Vision Pro has the resolution for desktop apps in their demos… does Quest 3 finally get to that level of resolution (or good enough to read pages)?

    • Smitty Vanjagermanjenson

      September 27, 2023 at 7:21 pm

With the 30% resolution boost, up from the quest 2, and pancake lenses this headset will be extremely clear and legible.

    September 27, 2023 at 4:57 pm

you seem to be commenting on the depth adjuster for glasses etc while the video shows the ipd adjusting control

You didn’t even touch PCVR, what gives?

    • Dan_Kitty_VR

      September 27, 2023 at 5:25 pm

they havent had the chance to try it on pcvr yet…that will come after release 🙂

    • Beanos

      September 27, 2023 at 6:23 pm

Meta hasn’t allowed them to unfortunately.

  13. Godwin

    September 27, 2023 at 5:26 pm

@1:44 does not look like apple, because you don’t need an iPhone only, to scan your face or to activate the VR headset, and Apple’s headset is $3500 stop comparing it.
Milking you out of your money and telling you it’s for a good course and they invented everything that they copied from others and give the best presentation that will convince you even if your knew the truth.

  14. Avraham Rothschild

    September 27, 2023 at 5:34 pm

I don’t like people with masks

Disappointed that the Xbox cloud gaming was not mentioned. Really wanted to know more about that.

    • Smitty Vanjagermanjenson

      September 27, 2023 at 7:18 pm

What’s to know? The quest 3 produces let’s say 32″-50″ (comfortable viewing) screen that can be positioned wherever you are. You can either use VR to fully immerse or AR and still be able to view the world around you while playing xbox cloud.

    • Smitty Vanjagermanjenson

      September 27, 2023 at 7:19 pm

I’m not making guesses either. I do this all the time with my quest 2, unofficially. This December it becomes an official app for quest.

The Quest 3 is the Toyota Corolla of VR headsets. It gets you from A to B without the bells and whistles and perhaps overall quality of a Lexus (Apple Vision Pro)

    • Drew G

      September 27, 2023 at 9:23 pm

Funny how the both do the same thing but you can actually game on the Quest lol

2:58 Can you give me info on your mask, size brand where you can buy?

As a Meta product engineer working with the integration team between smart glaases & other platforms i say just caution buying the buggy glasses hope you understood way over stated & hyped product. Next version is what you need to look for..

I’m not interested in Chat GPT Ray-bans. I’m looking for the hand tracked AR capable chat gpt Ray-Bans. I don’t care how long it takes, that’s what I see as metas goal

    What’s with the face diaper

  24. Rob Black

    September 27, 2023 at 9:16 pm

It sure is hard to take someone seriously who is still wearing a useless face diaper 4 years on. It’s remarkable that a portion of humanity is still going along with this complete idiocy. They going to forever wear face diapers or will reality finally sink in and they’re grasp how stupid and pointless this is?

What an embarrassing era of humanity we currently live in…
