Cool but a bit premature and very niche…

I think it’s stupid. An underwater drone can do all the same things but better but not looking like a turtle and potentially getting eaten. 😂

It’s for special operations in foreign territories. By imitating the movement of a turtle, you have less odd to be detected. Probably financed by DARPA.

I wish this was also a at home pool vacuum. Maybe add some lights and adj the pool temp and ph. The kids would love it.

Ok this is the way robotic should be used to help preserve our blue planet 🌍🌍🌍🌏😍

Why?? All good until a bull shark eats this thing

    • @unconventionalvtolguy

      January 8, 2026 at 5:14 pm

What if that’s the whole point, to get an incredible footage of that as there’s no other way to achieve that

  9. @e3vL1

    January 8, 2026 at 3:13 pm

Imagine a hungry shark passing by and and taking a bite off it

Give it AI, set it free in the ocean, and years later ask it what it learned!

  13. @a1yca7z

    January 8, 2026 at 6:54 pm

i mean i get the idea but what really is the point of it and purpose that couldnt already be achieved by a small remote control sub

  14. @LokiDaFerret

    January 8, 2026 at 6:57 pm

Another reason would be to attach a bomb to it and float it up to a military vessel.

DARPA is going to love this!
