The most important question is why am i work so hard to buy things i don’t need to impress people i don’t like, and then being stupid enough to think fulfilment comes from having a career.

If you ever meet a person who makes soap and name is Tyler Durden, be careful with him..

I think I’ve heard of him, he runs a club but for the life of me, I can’t remember its name. Ah, it’s probably not important that anyway. ????

It really shouldn’t be you places to see, hobbies to have enjoy, passions to pursue, and life-long relationships to build.

I just don’t think you gotta put yourself down to ask a question. Maybe just ask and explain what you don’t understand. Don’t call yourself dumb or your question. It’s presumptuous to assume how the ppl around you perceive you, especially if they care enough to give you a kind answer. Just bc you think someone is smart doesn’t mean they think you’re dumb.

These questions aren’t dumb but they definitely indicate that you haven’t done your homework before joining the meeting. People are not afraid of asking dumb questions but scared of being labeled as incompetent.

Former senior US national security official Miles Taylor shares a personal account that raises a broader civic concern: the growing cost of dissent in American public life. Drawing on his experience inside government and living the consequences of speaking openly, he says that the real threat to US democracy isn’t the politicians or hard-liners — it’s the two-thirds of Americans who don’t speak up. (This talk contains mature language.) (Recorded at TEDxMidAtlantic on November 1, 2025)
