You cannot vaccinate in the middle of a pandemic. If you do you will create escape variants, and these will be coming from the vaccinated, not from the unvaccinated. The more you vaccinate with a non sterilizing vaccine, that does not stop transmission, you will always create escape variants which will prolong the longevity of a pandemic. You protect the vulnerable and you let the rest of the population get this virus, and the young population will get use to this new pathogen and it would already be gone if we would of tackled it in this way, just like every pandemic that has ever plagued us, unless it was a pandemic of unsanitary properties, then this can go for ever until we figure out what we are doing to create it. Also 75% of all of our pandemics in all of recorded history comes from un eating, trading, and hunting animals an destroying their habitat. We are breeding the flu every year, that is why it is still around, so are colds. Geert Vanden Bossche had predicted this, and the more you vaccinate the more you medicate and take all freedom from people’s lives, and big pharma are laughing all the way to the bank. Also the vaccine they made killed over 19000 people so far just in the US alone, verified by the CDC, and many more injured from this atrocity which can’t even stop you from getting infected in the first planc, can’t stop you from spreading it either, and can’t stop the vaccinated from making new variants. This vaccine has killed more people in a few months than all of the vaccine ever given in the past 20 years.

The countries that are the most vaccinated are the ones that are in trouble right now. They have the most cases, and the most death from this virus, like Israel. Get educated or get medicated. Vaccines fro a virus that can change and mutate as fast as this is futile and never works. Specially with a vaccine that does not stop transmission. The only thing to do is to better our health by changing our habits, and to use prophylactics when somebody either starts getting sick or goes to the ICU. Absolutely do not vaccinated young adult or specially children as they are the way you get out of a pandemic. They are the ones that will mop up the threat.

If we can get people in less rich or poorer countries vaccinated, this will finally be an act of solidarity honoring what Humanity can be. It hurts to see the extreme and ongoing injustice worldwide.

Who do you think to influence with your denial under a TED Talk video where we value the work of scientists? You do not care about the populations who do not have access to the various vaccines, including against many other past diseases by the way, and you ask US to grow up?

Today is easy to study medicine-there is only one deseas and few simptoms.This is all bullshit. Documentation from patient #1 was never presented outside wuhan. Place where people die from pulmonary deseases more than anywhere in the world-Wu Han, and we nor scientists from around world don’t know anything about that persons heltg before being sick. Different opinions are not conspiracies. For example a year ago suggesting that it may have come from a lab was a “conspiracy.” In August people were still being banned on social media for suggesting that booster shots may be coming and they were here in September.

Exactly; if the WHO reacted on time to announce a global pandemic and impose mask rules right away it didn’t have to be that bad. Meanwhile, Taiwan, a densely populated country of 23 million kept the level 1 for 1.5 years since the pandemic had started until an epidemic hit just for a few months; and ended by the end of summer. Taiwan has a poor access to international vaccines (due to the resistance from China) but zero domestic cases for more than a month. Prevention method, time to react and social responsibility over individual freedom are the key.

She failed to produce strong evidence when invoking the end of WWII and good for the interviewer for noticing the inefficacy of “words on paper.” But then kudos to Ms. WHO for coming back strong by pointing out a source of true leadership and change by noting “this is Ted women” and then listing all the ways women have demonstrated self-sacrifice, common sense and faithful hard work for the good of many, in contrast to the traditional model paved with blood in service to conquest and capitalism. Female leaders across the globe have a track record of success in times of crisis and the only men we need in power are ones with the humility to learn from success, irrespective of gender frankly. Pursuing war and money in the face of disease and death is beyond foolish. But if the takeaway from this pandemic is that we finally grind the greedy march of unregulated capitalism, consumerism and workaholism to a stop, then it will have been worth something. We were all being buried alive anyway. Maybe we can all, not just the 1%, finally be free.

Disappointing. While cheerleading for “positive thoughts,” and pushing us to engage in “taking responsibility where each of us are” IS good and even encouraging, I had hoped to hear science based potential solutions of a tangible nature.
