G4 is plenty bright enough
@jakeola10
January 5, 2025 at 5:17 pm
Not in color. The white subpixel dilutes color saturation at high brightness, which this G5 seems to mitigate though not as well as QD-OLED does.
@JD-op6vn
January 5, 2025 at 5:31 pm
@@jakeola10every year will get better. The G4 color is very good for an oled. The only real revolution will be PHOLED
@whitecrowuk575
January 5, 2025 at 5:36 pm
It’s not exactly about peak brightness but average picture brightness – and that should increase 40% as well (100% white will increase that much) – and that’s big

Did the G5 viewing angles take a hit without MLA?
@whitecrowuk575
January 5, 2025 at 5:34 pm
Every OLED have perfect 90/90
@highdefnews
January 5, 2025 at 5:39 pm
@ Non-MLA WOLEDs from LG suffer from slight color shift & minor brightness loss when viewed off angle. MLA fixed both issues.
@whitecrowuk575
January 5, 2025 at 5:46 pm
@ at what 80 degrees? It’s totally irrelevant change in practical terms. The colour shift was the pink shift they had in previous gens – but I don’t think we will see that anymore
@highdefnews
January 5, 2025 at 5:57 pm
@ Last year’s C4 started shifting colors at 29 degrees & color washout started around 48.
The shift was particularly noticeable because it toward green last year not pink, which hadn’t been seen since 2018ish.
@whitecrowuk575
January 5, 2025 at 6:23 pm
@ if I remember correctly it was pink tint – not same color washout like we experience on led tvs – whilst technically correct – but pink tint wouldn’t say was always apparent

Surprise theres no C5 110 inch yet
@gosman949
January 5, 2025 at 5:34 pm
Disappointing that they are going to not include the stand mounts in the lower sized tvs! Once again! Come on LG! Not everyone wants a wall mount!

Yeah the stand for the 77 inch G4 is £250 in the UK totally outrageous.

It was all fine until the end. Saying C4 was the ‘bang for buck’ TV for him last year is a joke. C4 was basically a C2 without any inprovements worth mentioning.
C4 really missed out on MLA and if its not MLA nor a 4 layer stack as roumored about G5 the C-series is a no go this year as well. QD-oleds are pulling ahead ????

true, after updates its great. also gamemode is fixed. not dim anymore. but if the lg g5 is so much better. i go for the lg g5 77 inch. and i exchange my lg g3 for it. think i must paid 2500 euro for it

January 5, 2025 at 6:02 pm
The g4 stands didn’t work, the G series is designed to be on a wall. They should make the c5 better to be like the g5, but without the slim design. They already have the B5 to be the cheaper version. And they should make a 72 inch version for the C5, cuz 65 to 77 is a lot.
