Until VR headsets are the size of 1980’s era Oakley’s and haptic gloves are like neoprene gloves, I’m not interested. I love my wireless Quest with Virtual Desktop, but the tech is still firmly rooted in the clunky era size-wise.

Give it another 30-50 years …emmm maybe next life, everything will be as small as generic glasses and gloves. Give it another century or two, full dive technology without any attached peripherals could be available

I mean eventually it probably will vr head sets have already shrunk a lot. These haptic gloves won’t be affordable or practical for the regular consumer market for a while. Maybe 10 more years and they will be good and cheap enough for the average consumer but they are not all that needed regular vr is already pretty incredible imo.

Looking forward to the day that a vr company manages to sort out the disembodied hands floating in the air problem. It’s a ubiquitous issue that completely breaks immersion imo.

I mean even some games on the Meta Quest show your whole arm not just your hands, so it really depends on the game developer.
