      @Justin_tech I knew it.
      I thought “I didn’t watch till the end, I became what I hated” I’m sorry 🙁

No. I wouldn’t strap an iPhone to the landing gear of an airplane but I would to a GoPro.

      ????????????

I’ll be sticking with a gimbal as I can retain 4k and can still use it in darker conditions.
But action mode is OK if you are in a pinch.

Totally valid – thanks for sharing!

Probably a legit side-by-side review with relevant camera spec comparisons.

iPhones brightens and saturates shadows to the extent it feels a little bit fake. I mean, it’s good footage. I just can tell if you vlog with an iPhone.

      Totally.

I’m upgrading from my iPhone 13 pro max to the iPhone 14. Pro Because the promax is a bit too big and I miss the smaller 6.1 inch regular pro

    • Justin_tech

      October 4, 2022 at 2:26 pm

I’m all about the Pro. I want a smaller phone.

Nope, it won’t replace GoPro. It’s too bulky. The beauty of GoPro is that it’s small and it’s not heavy when you mount it anywhere, especially on a helmet or other parts of the body. GoPro is also more shockproof and durable. With iPhones, one fall from your movement and you pray to God it didn’t break.

Gotta get that Apple Care! hahaha

    • Juan Del Sol

      October 4, 2022 at 2:59 pm

@Justin_tech It is, however, great for creatives who don’t have professional cams but want to create short films with great action scenes, so there’s that. ????

Not totally. Based on your vid iphone14 looks still below the quality of GoPro.

    • Justin_tech

      October 4, 2022 at 2:27 pm

Definitely pros and cons for both. Go Pro clarity is great.

Don’t say that action mode is blurred. It’s more brighter with 4x its megapixels

Plz pick one horizontal or vertical. Not both

This video didn’t make any sense at all… Action camera & Smartphone cameras both belong to a different world

Phone manufacturers are trying to fit as many features they can into their devices, sometimes its just better to get something else for the job. As someone who’s just got the hero 11, I can say that it definately has benefits over a phone for recording.
    1. dedicated device, if damaged you may not be able to use it but your primary means of communication i.e your phone is safe.
    2. Action cameras have swapable batteries, if it runs out, pop a new one in, if the phones runs out, no recording and it needs to charge.
    3. action cameras generally have better sensors and megapixels for higher quality recording.
    4. Storage on a phone becomes limited with photos, music and apps, recording high res video eats away, action cameras have seperate storage which can be swapable and a storage capacity of your choosing.
    5. size, if you had to strap a small camera or your 14 pro to your head or chest, what are you picking realistically.

Action cams are a lot of money and are only really for those on adventures and want to record every moment.

I don’t know why you deleted my previous comment, but you have to be congruent, if you filmed at 60 fps, please, upload the video with the same frequency. So that we can have a better approach with the real video quality. Thanks.

Excellent comparison by eliminating variables to show true comparisons. Great idea for a third camera to video what is happening. Professional transitions.
