how stupid world class engineers need to be to let the newly redesigned usbc ipad 10 work with an apple pencil 1st generation.. no place to house it and no way to change it without a dongle… I mean it doesn’t take a genius nor a degree in engineering to see how flawed this sounds

      October 18, 2022 at 7:33 pm

and also the fact it probably doesn’t use the second gen pencil and I bet apple won’t even make a 1st gen pencil with usb c instead of lightning

      October 19, 2022 at 6:28 am

@Cooper 109 he literally said in his comment that it uses the first GEN pencil and you charge it with an adapter, so no USB-C😂😂 but it is stupid

I think the new iPad and its pricing is dumb. It is only compatible with the first Gen Apple Pencil even though the design of the iPad changed to look like the newer models. You’d assume it would be compatible with second gen pencils. And with this design in mind, it makes me think why apple wouldn’t allow first gen Apple Pencil support on newer design iPad models! And to top things off, the screen isn’t laminated!

Now to be fair, it is a base model iPad. So I can understand their choice of screen and pencil support as well as chipset. But looking at it from afar, it is a re-released iPad Air 4 with downgraded screen type and weird front facing camera position. That’s why they still have 9th gen iPads still on sale along with this thing. In my opinion it would have been fine if they stopped selling 9th gen iPads and sold this one only at base model price of $329.

I would rather buy iPad mini than new iPad 10th Gen. It’s only $50 more.

It’s basically the 2020 ipad air with A 14 bionic chip and differently positioned front camera.🤔

      October 20, 2022 at 12:42 am

The 2020 Air actually also had the A14 so that’s not even a difference. Oh Apple 🤦🏾‍♂️

@Tobenna Okoli thanks for reminding me, I’m not upgrading.

So basically, the iPad Air 4 from 2020 is now the iPad 10

    • Saber Alter

      October 19, 2022 at 10:51 am

A downgraded variant without Apple Pencil 2

So u not pointing out That new ipad only support 1st Gen apple pencil ?
1st gen apple pencil using lightning connector,
and that new ipad has Usb C.
    Make it make sense.

Sucks ! For that price ur better off buying the iPad air

  16. Tobenna Okoli

    October 20, 2022 at 12:41 am

This is liiiiiiterally just the 2020 iPad Air but you can’t use the 2nd Gen Apple Pencil or Magic Keyboard.

At least it’s $100 cheaper – which it should be as it’s basically just a budget 2020 iPad Air.

Instant dislike for not mentioning no Apple Pencil 2 compability but a usb-c so you can’t use Apple Pencil 1 without a dongle and coord

These tiktok style background change videos are so cringe. Hoping this trend eventually goes away
