So, “sausage” is a preparation method. As are “nuggets” and “burgers”… But how can you call it “pork” when it clearly isn’t? Surely “pork style” is more appropriate. I’m all for trying these plant based alternatives, but If I picked up a bag that said “Impossible Chicken Nuggets”, then I expect some chicken nuggets. At first glance, the packaging is 100% misleading. Vegans and vegetarians kick off if they’re misled into buying something that isn’t friendly to their diet, and have pushed to have it legally stated on packaging. So the same should apply to vegan and vegetarian food.

all they would need to do is create a dehydrated version, and the margins would go up so high from the cost savings, that they can finally offer a discount making the price less than real meat

but since they ship heavy frozen products, their margins are too low and these fake meat companies will never be profitable businesses.

YUM i love veg dim sum ! ! why ? because traditional dim sum is stuffed with fatty pork, the sauce fried with oil, sometimes lard, and if wrapped in western pastry, baked with butter …. they are little balls of fat and can be heavy and filling … still, … current veg dim sum is already very tasty, cannot see what impossible meat could add to it, since it would be just as expensive
