Decor and art comes from the heart… do not look at the dreary and complain… see it as an extension of the dreariness of those that run the place day to day. You want to make things pretty for people, but you leave the people in their suffering and the paint will fade in time.

Optimization of finances: who needs color if white and grey are impersonal and cheaper. Capitalism.

Now she’s been in the rooms where decisions are made — and she’s never forgotten what brought her there. In conversation with solutions journalist Angus Hervey, she reflects on what it takes to defend democracy in a world where truth itself is under threat.
