John Wixted, a leading psychology researcher, challenges this conventional wisdom with a counterintuitive finding: the problem might not be memory itself but how (and when) courts test it. Decor and art comes from the heart… do not look at the dreary and complain… see it as an extension of the dreariness of those that run the place day to day. You want to make things pretty for people, but you leave the people in their suffering and the paint will fade in time.
