I wonder if I’d be able to input a video source like from my drone to do fpv? What would the delay be for an HDMI input .

Its a real shame OpenAI doesn’t have their own glasses, its annoying Google who’s a distant 3rd in AI will have most likely the best glasses on the market

Gaming is OK but the core features need to work right out of the box and work well. Translation of audio and text, turn by turn navigation directions while walking, read and respond to texts or see notifications, music controls and viewscreen of picture being taken. AI queries audibly and what is seen in camera/screen. These are the key features that need tow work well right away and seamlessly. Adding more features and games is nice but less critical for wide spread adoption. Having a physical camera lens blocker like laptops have would be great for privacy needs/desires. The features and tools of a smart phone and smart watch but hands free or mostly hands free will get people on board.

Can these smart glasses, including the XReal you showed us, be used by individuals who need prescription lenses? That’s one of my primary concerns.

They look pretty far behind to me. Last year they showed a demo of smart glasses with a display built into the lens, and now the ones coming out are just the basic version without any screen. And they presented as ‘new’ features things you can already do with the Meta Ray‑Ban, and have been able to do for years, which you can buy almost anywhere, just like a regular pair of prescription glasses. Meanwhile, we still don’t know how Google plans to distribute theirs or how much they’ll cost.
