    Y’all should play War Thunder.

War Thunder is the most comprehensive free-to-play, cross-platform, MMO military game for Windows, Linux, Mac, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S dedicated to aviation, armoured vehicles, and naval vessels from the early 20th century to the most advanced modern combat units. Join now and take part in major battles on land, in the air and at sea, fighting with millions of other players from all over the world in an ever-evolving environment.

VR travel will be a thing where people will rent drones or robots to roam in far places in real-time instead of traveling there
Imagine visiting Mt Everest Alps islands coral reefs pyramids Eiffel tower etc

    • Paradox484

      March 26, 2023 at 12:24 pm

That seems a tad inefficient. What functional difference is there between that and a vr tour of Mt. Everest with simulated environment that emulates real time conditions? Why fly a drone all the way up there? Not to mention the headache of having a bunch of drones fighting for space in tourist attractions across the world.

    • prilep5

      March 26, 2023 at 12:41 pm

@Paradox484 ok maybe a recording 360 all around

It’s very intresting of how much vr has come! This will be very helpful to people with many phobias, and even personal problems.

And that’s just with Google glass. I can imagine an in person setting being more useful since it would allow the therapist to have better gear. Fear of driving with assetto Corsa and a driving sim gear would probably feel more realistic than watching a video with low poly graphics. However, not everyone has access to in person help, or the high end gear. So the way it’s set-up right now with a VR app and a zoom call works wonders

I used SecondLife to help with my transition over a decade ago. VR works. I no longer use it though, as I became desensitized to it. Eventually you have to step out your door.

I have a real fear of VR, not sure if this would work for me..

Yes I would but the graphics needs a lot of work though.

The relationship between farmers and the sun just got an upgrade #TEDTalks

Exhausted from carrying water up a hill to keep her small farm in Kenya thriving, Josephine Waweru received an unexpected call that offered a nearly unbelievable solution. She shares how one simple device allowed her crops (and her dreams) to flourish — and offers a glimmer of hope in the face of growing climate uncertainty.

Design consultant Virginia Santy set out to create an office space built specifically for women, flipping the script on the subtle (and not-so-subtle) ways that workplaces and cities still fail them. The results were striking: greater productivity, deeper collaboration and an environment where women felt genuinely valued, leading her to ask a simple question: What would the world look like if we designed with women in mind?
