really?! every 2 hours reapply… I have nothing do in the day just to put sunscreen 9 times

      June 16, 2022 at 1:12 pm

American uv filters are not as photo stable as the international ones so they degrade over time so there is a need to reapply. Even if you have photo-stable filters your skip sweats and produces oils leading to a patchy and incomplete coverage after about two hours.

Only when you’re outdoors getting lots of sun exposure, sweat and water activities you need to reapply to maintain that even protection.

It just pollutes the sea, and isn’t the safest way to bloke UV

Keep in mind UVB is also what our bodies use to produce Vit D and that’s an extremely common deficiency these days so… moderation

    • Paul Ho

      June 16, 2022 at 9:03 pm

Diet and nutrition! Plenty of foods like fish, mushrooms and various fortified milks provide Vitamin D.

Sunscreen is poison and causes skin damage. It’s all a lie.

  15. Mikey B

Strange to me how the use of sunscreen went sky high in the last year but so did skin cancer. In the UK 8 in 10 people that got skin cancer used sunscreen regularly.

      Not true. Sources please.

it says keep busy yourself by monitoring only the sunscreen for 24×7

  17. Saffy

    June 16, 2022 at 3:55 pm

I don’t use it. Sounds like a scam and it’s cloudy most of the year anyway

Certain chemicals in most sunscreens are very bad for the marine environment. If you’re going to use it on the beach, use the one that’s made for the sea.

  19. Andy Lin

    June 16, 2022 at 4:09 pm

how about environmental concerns? some substances in the sunscreen may harm the environment or the ocean so to speak.

  20. sporq foon

Hmmm… my dermatologist says many sunscreens are carcinogenic, so…

Also, who still listens to the FDA?

  21. Dave Ming Chang

    June 16, 2022 at 5:53 pm

What a crok of BS. They fail to mention its also the No. 1 cause of skin cancer. Research it yourself.

  22. ralph

    June 16, 2022 at 7:59 pm

The sun is needed for vitamin d.

Also sunscreen ???? can give Cancer!

go in the Sun but don’t get burned. Go out to the sun before that.

Only use sunscreen when really really needed and there are not other options (like go inside)

  23. Paul Ho

    June 16, 2022 at 9:06 pm

Are people here just to be contrarian and proudly claim that they never wear sunscreen, like it’s some kind of bragging right? Chill, just skip the video. You’re literally boosting the video with engagement.

  24. Gabrie l

Title used to say why we should wear sunblock iirc?

Because sun is bad for you! (and saying this makes the sunscreen manufacturers a heap of money)

I found a new hobby recently, e-bikes, which means I’m outside more often than I used to be, which also meant it was time to start using sunscreen. Luckily, I got the right one for me, Coppertone SPF30 spray-on that doesn’t feel oily. Kinda wish this video came out earlier, but still informative!

    Japanese sunscreens are the best.
