@Birdo that may be true but 9.7billon ppl and the uk only makes up 70million and not everyone will help so as you can see we need power houses like usa with huge population to lend a hand aswell to make a big change but your on the right track

    • Birdo

      March 12, 2021 at 11:10 pm

@HD SINGH Yes, we definitely need help from countries but just because we don’t make big change doesn’t mean we shouldn’t stop caring for the environment properly. It’s better to help it than destroy it more

You guys realize people have made free energy before. They also made cars that run off water. These don’t get far because these large corporations shut them down. Solution: Invent something and keep it quiet till its to big to be destroyed.

There is no way to have green capitalism. But green economy is possible. Just because capitalism has always been the way we view our economy, it doesn’t mean that there can’t be other options

  13. Steve Kroll

Angela, your premise of trying to save the world from an atmospheric disaster by controlling the economy with an international world forum of professors and politicians is simply a narcissistic expression of your deep rooted Marxism.

Yes! Making our economy green will come with so many benefits, like cleaner air in cities. Its astounding nobody is talking about how people living in big cities have a much lower live expectancy because of air pollution. Look it up!

@Dan Inbari oh yeah because we did so much to fix it right? Oh wait we can’t because nobody blames the people responsible. That’s okay next time someone you love gets sick or something tragic happens don’t blame the sickness or the murderer. Clown

My opinion so far is that the Green Parties in Europe are destroying the pro-climate mood. The Green’s Anti-Nuclear stance goes against common sense and the only explanations given by greens are along the lines “trust us, it will work”.

Some of the pro-climate arguments seems to be poorly backed by science as well. So until it gets cleared up and not being misrepresented by low effort journalist/politicians we can say goodbye to green economy. I am so sad.

In a part of the United States with more than 17,000 years of human history, cultural preservation advocate Tracie Revis is working to turn the Ocmulgee Mounds into Georgia’s first national park and preserve. This park would be co-managed by the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, bringing the tribal voice back to an area they were forcibly removed from 200 years ago. Revis explores the complex feelings of caring for this land and shows how it’s fostering healing in return.

Hundreds of millions of migrant workers travel within their countries to seek out means of survival — often leaving behind all they know for months or even years. Many face poverty and exploitation, and they need a robust social safety net to protect them, says migrant advocate and 2023 Audacious Project grantee Ashif Shaikh. He shares how his grassroots organization Migrants Resilience Collaborative is making life-changing benefits like social security and health care accessible to those who need them while also amplifying migrant voices — paving the way towards a world that supports the workers actually building it. (This ambitious idea is a part of the Audacious Project, TED’s initiative to inspire and fund global change.)
